Riddle Me Ree June 2011

For those who have read my blog for some time you will remember this post  from last August.

Yes it's that time for us and we will be going on holiday on Monday..yipee!

As always I like to make some new jewellery and this year these pieces are coming with me.

I bought some lovely seashore themed beads from a very talented American lampworker and put them together with some long silver ear wires and blue Swarovski beads.

Here is a view showing the ear wires, I rather like these, they are different to the usual ones I use.

I also bought from the same lady some lovely etched beads, these really look like sea glass. I have made earrings and put the focal bead simply on a bead post to wear on a chain.

I used the same long ear wires for these.

This is the set all together.
They are a lovely peach colour and look good with summer outfits and sunshine!

And lastly being a very greedy girl I also decided I wanted some purple earrings.  So still keeping with the beach theme I had these made

 Which I made into....

.......these pretties. This time I used heart ear levers for the fittings.  Again they are new for me and I felt they finish them off really well.

So there we are, I have my holiday jewellery ready, we are nearly packed and even Billy is going away to stay with my parents.
He will miss his garden for the week but it is much better for him to be there than in a cattery...I just wish we could explain to him what is happening, poor lad does not like change!
Never mind he will be very spoilt whilst he is on his holiday.

Now before I close I would like to have a bit of fun like I did last year...have a guess from these photos where we are off to....we last visited this place in 2009.

Riddle me ree.......any ideas yet...
we usually say answers on a postcard but instead I say answers on my blog!!
Have a guess and I will reveal all with some new holiday photos on my return.

I will be back soon.  I will leave you with a photo taken from the balcony of our hotel room taken in  June 2009

Bliss...I can't wait.

See you all really soon, take care,

Jane x

Hope you have a wonderful time, it looks quite French to me, maybe Spain??
Hope Billy enjoys his holiday too, I know what you mean about wishing you could explain to them what's happening.
So good to be back in blogland, I had computer trouble this week.

  4. Welcome back Vivienne, I wondered where your latest post had gone. It's strange how cut off we feel when there is no access to the internet. It is great catching up in blogland.
So your vote is for France or Spain...OK, we're put those in the answer pot then!
    "See" you soon, take care,

  9. Jane, I can't even guess where this might be, but I have a hunch that it might involve a trip to the shore? I'm only taking clues from your pretty seashore themed jewelry... The scenery in the photos looks almost like parts of California, which has me stumped!
So here's to your mystery trip- I hope it's a wonderful getaway! I'll be waiting with Billy for your return and the tales from your travels! :o)

  10. Dear Jane,

You're all set for holiday, the most gorgeous jewelry and all! I am wishing you wonderful time, and I'm sure Billy will love it with your parents and be EVEN MORE in love with you when he returns home :) (after ignoring you for a minute or two)! And oh, I am not spoiling the holiday spot for everyone by telling where you're heading even I know :) All I'm saying is that some of the ladies are guessing quite well!

See you after your journey dear friend!

    Yours,
    Mia

  11. Tee hee Michele, I love it when people guess.. so many parts of the world look similar when you have not been given any clues. What I can say though is that perhaps the jewellery is really a bit of a red herring ;0)
Have a great weekend, Jane x

  12. Now Mia, you know full well where we are going and I know my secret destination is safe with you in Finland-LOL!! I really hope it's dry this weekend so that Billy can get into his garden before he spends a week in Mum and Dad's house. He is such a good boy there, he just takes a few days to settle.
    "See" you soon my dear,

  13. I have no idea really......but my guess would be Tuscany! It looks like a wonderful holiday spot though, have a delightful time and take lots of pictures for all of us. Also thank you for your helpful comment and ideas on my recent post. I'm happy now that I share this because I am feeling less guilty and ready to do just continue to encourage her and seek out other places for elderly companionship. Have a fabulous holiday. xoRobin❤
