More creatures in metal

Good morning, it's time to share my 2nd "metal" inspiration card for Country view. Firstly I would like to thank everyone for the amazing reception you gave my first card, the metal dragonfly one. I had some really lovely comments left on my post. I also put it on a card site on Facebook and to date it has had over 200 likes..I am truly humbled! If you missed my dragonfly you can see him here
So back to today, remember that you can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with any other challenges. You may even be the lucky random winner of the £20 CVC voucher.
The theme for this month is "metal" and all the details, more inspiration and links are here via this link.
The weather has really changed since last weekend so no sunny dragonfly but something a little more autumnal.
I can see a few changes as I look around my garden....my acers are taking on a few autumnal hues
 and as I walked to Dotty's I found my first "treasure" of the season...yes my first conker..always a special moment for me.
So my butterfly card has more autumnal colours. This time I decided to make a "faux" metal background using an embossing plate and some gilding wax.
I embossed some card ...

I also made a metallic stitched border using a gold pen.
I coloured my butterfly die cuts with autumnal shades of alcohol ink
 and also added some ink to Tim Holtz' bigz bird and branch die cut which was also cut in aluminum, the same way I made my insects.
Then on went my creative hat....and out came my finished card...the sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold...of course.
...I also used metal brads in the centres of my flowers and the butterfly.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Craft stamper Take it make it Anything goes September
The Ribbon Girl 2/3 September any card
Try it on Tuesday 2/3 stitching I have used a faux stitching effect on my sentiment plaque and around the perimeter of my card.

  15. Hi Jane! How excited am I to finally have a few minutes to spend on your blog today! First, what a gorgeous card! I had a look at your dragonfly card and it is beautiful with all of the blues and silver, but I sure do love this one too! Birds and butterflies and flowers, what's not to love! Amazing work with the metal! I can't believe how early autumn is showing through this year! I planted a vine at the base of the tree in the corner of the patio, and even though it's really small right now, the leaves are turning bright red and it's growing little purple berries! In a few years, I hope it will grow all the way up the tree! sending hugs :)
