Autumnal mixed media spookiness

With only 6 days til Halloween I am back with my 2nd project for hopefully inspiring you to join our October challenge over at Country View.
The clocks are going back this weekend so autumn really is in full swing.

For this month the lovely Rachel has chosen very appropriately " Mixed media with autumnal hues". Remember that you can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with any other challenges. Your make can be anything creative! You may even be the lucky random winner of the £20 CVC voucher.

You will find all the details here.

For my first piece I made my witches washing line card which you can see here

I decided now that my witch has got her clothes dry that it was time to make her a house ready for all things spooky. I used all the colours of autumn and lots of different media. I started with Paperartsy Fresco paints which I brayered onto my card.
I added some spray through my leaf stencil
and then some script stamping using my Visible Image scripted streets stamp
I added some pumkin stencilling
and a web using my shattered stencil and some black soot ink.
I added some clear embossing to my haunted house and edged it with Treasure gold

I added so many media I lost count! Next came some stamping.
Here is my finished card.
and some  close ups.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Allsorts 1/3 Halloween
A vintage journey crazy for autumn colour
Sparkles 3/3 autumn colours
Simon says stamp Wednesday photo inspiration

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the kind comments you take the time to leave me. I love reading every single one.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

  1. This is fantastic Jane! Your background is incredible, layers and layers of stencil designs and beautiful colours! Everything has so much texture, and the touches of gold are fantastic! Love the ghost, boy he sure grabs the eye!

I forgot you guys do daylight savings a week earlier than us. They changed ours some time ago to cut back on oil and gas usage, but I like to think they did it to give the kids an extra hour to trick or treat. lol. Beautiful photos, that one tree looks summer on the bottom and autumn up top, love that!! sending hugs :)
