A Country View robin merry Christmas to you

Hello I am back with my 2nd design team make for Country View Challenges.  The theme for this month is of course Christmas so let's see all your festive makes. You can enter a maximum of 5 times and into a maximum of 10 challenges, including ours. As always there is a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for one lucky randomly selected winner to spend on the website.  You can find all the details of the challenge and more examples made by my talented teamies here.

  Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £20.00 I have added some live links within my post to take you to some of the products I used.
This is my last DT post for Country View for 2022 and I thought I would use one of my favourite stamp sets from this year, which is the Visible Image Christmas robin set.

 It's been so popular that it is now out of stock but will be restocked soon.
This is what I got up to;
I stamped all 3 robins, coloured them and cut them out minus their legs.

I stamped and cut out 5 of the holly leaves images and coloured those too.

I stamped the branch around the card to make a frame and added some dots of colour using the "snow" stamp in the set with distress oxides...a very useful stamp!

I stamped the sentiment from "Sentimental Christmas" in the centre

I stamped the large robin in his place to give him his legs back!
and then added the coloured cut out one on top. I glued the holly in place, tucking the other robins behind. For a finishing touch I added some Stickles glitter glue and white pen details. Here is my finished make
with a couple of close ups

and 1 final shot;

I hope I may have inspired you to join in with the challenge this month? Once again here you can find all the details for our December challenge  here.  Enjoy all your Christmas prep and the festivities of my very favourite time of the year.

 Country View challenges will return on 1st January. See you on the other side!

Bye for now,

Wishing you a Visible Image Merry Christmas

Hello it's time for my final design team make of 2022 for Visible Image. The DT will be taking a break over Christmas and I will be back with my first make of 2023 on 4th January.

I decided to use my favourite Christmas release stamp set from 2022, which is the awesome Christmas robin set, and paired it with a few other of my older Christmas favourites. There are live links to the website if you click on them in my post.

Christmas robin

This is what I got up to;
I stamped and cut out all 3 robins then coloured them using distress inks. I cut the legs off all the robins.
I stamped the wine bottle and coloured with Zig markers and then cut out using the coordinating die.
I stamped the glasses and cut them out with the dies ( I always do a big batch in one go as they are so useful for other projects).
I stamped the sentiment and large robin onto kraft card 6 1/2 by 4 1/2"
I stamped the small holly from the sentiment set twice on the card and once to cut out. I coloured them all using Zig markers.
I then stamped the wine splashes.
I stamped a wine splash in the glass and glued it in place so that I could stamp the medium robin on the rim. I then added my images. I also added some extra wine rings and drips to the background using the stamps in the set. The large and medium cut out robins were placed over the images stamped directly on the card to give them their legs back. For finishing touches I stuck the cut out holly into the large robin's beak and added some Stickles glitter glue for sparkle. I then matted onto black card and a kraft card blank.

Here is my finished card;

So the next sign up, for January, opens on 23rd December,  if you would like to join us.  There is no "monthly" commitment, just join in when you have the time and if you live in the UK can you choose to post to the UK only if that suits you best.

Christmas is coming with Country View challenges

Welcome to December and incredibly the last Country View challenge of 2022. Wow how quickly did this year fly by? The theme for this month is of course Christmas so let's see all your festive makes. I obviously need to make a LOT of Christmas cards both for myself and for selling at Dotty's so I am sharing Visible Image stamps Christmas card.
I used the text from the  Distressed Christmas set

with Let it snow
and 2 sentiments from the Go to Christmas set
 (which is out of stock at the moment but if you email Susan she can get them in for you).

This is what I got up to; I stamped the text in gold ink and when dry white embossed the snowflakes onto black card.

I gold embossed the words onto vellum.
and then tore them into strips and inked the edges.
To attach them to the card I folded the ends around the back.
I added a few stars and matted onto gold card and then a card blank. Here is my finished make;
