More spring flinging

Hello again, it's time for my second spring fling card for the brilliant STAMPlorations spring event.

Over at STAMPlorations we are celebrating with a Spring fling 12 days of giveaways! Yes the lovely Shery has some amazing offers over on the website and you can read all the details here. This event kicked off on Monday 1st April and we are now at Day 10. I decided to go "birdy" for my second spring card. 

I made a distress ink background

I then took a piece of inky mop up card and used my Pebble waves stencil

and added some Vintage photo distress ink

I used this as a background to cut out the brilliant For the birds CUTplorations dies

Shery's die are amazing and cut like butter through all card stock
I used the soar stamp as my sentiment and also stamped some birds in the background using the brilliant Trendy birds 2 stamp set

April watercolours for STAMPlorations

Hello it's the first Friday in the month which means that is time for our new Theme and Sketch April challenge over at STAMPlorations. The theme this month is a real favourite for me 

 I LOVE watercolours and below is the sketch which you could also choose to use, instead or as well as the theme.

The rules in brief are that you need to use stamping on your projects. You don't have to use STAMPlorations stamps to enter but of course we love it if you do! You can link up 6 times with new blog posts and you need to add our logo to your post. You can go with the theme, the sketch or both, the choice is yours. There are some fab prizes to be won too!

As always I used the theme and sketch and this is what I got up to.

I used the fun before coffee bold sentiment

and the
Convalleria stencil

 I made a watercolour background using distress inks and then added the stenciling as per the sketch using dark green Versafine Clair ink.

On a piece of spare watercoloured card I added some more ink and then stamped embossed the sentiment and die cut it out.

It's a girl thing, kindness

the butterfly from
blossom like a butterfly

and a sentiment from the
fond expressions 2

I used the amazing butterfly to create my background. This is just red and yellow stamping on yellow card.

I then cut and inked a butterfly for the focal. I edged the card using stamps from the kindness set.

More time for tea

It is time for my second card to hopefully inspire you to enter our current challenge over at STAMPlorations.
The theme for March is stamps and tea/coffee. This is a fun one for me as I really am a tea addict.

I used the always tea time stamp set

and the clustered hearts stencil

To make the white background I used texture paste through the stencil

and used red distress ink through the stencil on some inky mop up card for the border piece.

I stamped and paper pieced the cups and stamped one of the lovely sentiments.

Time for tea

Hello and welcome to a brand new STAMPlorations theme and sketch challenge. The theme for March is stamps and tea/coffee. This is a fun one for me as I really am a tea addict.
There is nothing I enjoy more that a proper cup of tea, in a cup and saucer in my garden and if the sun is shining it's even better!

I love sitting and enjoying my little garden whilst sipping my tea.

My family laugh that they have never heard me turn down the offer of a cuppa! I do sometimes drink cappuccino but I don't drink instant/filter type coffee at all. I went "off" coffee when I was pregnant with my son (now aged 30!) and never got a liking for it back!

There is also a sketch lovely sketch you can use too.

First I stamped and water coloured the cup of roses.

I used some alcohol inks on Yupo paper to make my background.

I also paper pieced one of the cups from the always tea time stamp set.

Still feeling the love

Valentine's day 2019 has come and gone but I am still feeling the love and have continued with the theme for my 2nd DT for STAMPlorations. The theme for February is stamps and love and there is a cool sketch which you could choose to use. All the details are here

I used the fab Romantic expressions 1 stamp set for my love themed card
