Strawberries and Pimms...it must be time for Wimbledon

Hi everyone and welcome to Jane's Journal if you are a first time visitor. Today I am starting another Guest Designer post and for July it will be for the relatively new but delightful challenge blog, Loves Rubberstamps. Laura is the owner of the website shop and the challenge blog and she is across the pond in the good old US of A. I was delighted when Laura contacted me and I nearly missed the email as my over zealous spam catcher on my email had deposited her email rudely in my spam folder. I am so glad that I happened to be checking for a missing link and found her lovely email there. Thanks you for having me ladies. This is my first GD spot with an American based card challenge.

So without further delay here is my first GD card for this week's challenge where the theme is anything goes.

I made a stepper card using Magnolia Sweet Rainbow Strawberry Yummy stamp which you can find in Laura's Shop here You will understand me being inspired by strawberries when you read the end of my post.

Here is a view of the inside step, on the left, where I have used a Memory Box flower die and a Marianne watering can (I used the wheelbarrow in the right step, see below). You will also spot my first use of my Lili of the Valley tags ;0)

Here is the inside of the right step.

and here is my stamp in close up. I coloured her with my Promarkers and highlight with Prismacolor pencils. You will see that I made the strawberries extra juicy looking by adding Glossy Accents to them. I also used this on her wellie boots. You will also see that I paper pieced her little dress.
I added buttons and bows from my stash and the papers are an Etsy download.

As all my long term blogging buddies know I am very partial to strawberries (and mermaids) as summer images. It is also a very special week this week as it is final week of Wimbledon and this is where I was yesterday....

Yup, I was at Court Number 1 sipping Pimms and eating strawberries whilst I watched the tennis action. As I had to schedule this post for 5am so that it links in with the USA I did not have time to download my photos but I will be back to share them with you on Thursday.
