There is an explosion of gorgeous daffodils everywhere.
These are just a few of the drifts I walk past on the way home from work, they all nod to me so gracefully.
As well as camellia and iris
My tulips are not in flower yet but are peeping up in their pots and no doubt will do soon. I have also seen my buds on the magnolia filling up...so much new life.
My challenge piece today is a spring tag inspired by these bold colours. I stamped my tulip stamp onto a book page. The theme over at PaperArtsy is Deconstruction, using things for a different purpose. My Hb's A tale of Two cities was certainly not printed with my stamping in mind!
I used alcohols inks to alter a dragonfly charm
I blended some Distress inks onto my tag and then added a couple of flicks of water, one of my favourite Tim techniques. I added some leaf stamping for some extra texture. I over stamped my Visible Image butterfly stamp which I embossed and coloured with DIs.
Here is my tag
and a couple of close ups
I added some remnant rubs words too
