We all know how much he loves his coffee! I decided to use his process but you will see that my card I created is very different to his. As Tim always suggests.....take an idea and adapt it any way you wish...so this is just what I did.
You can see his techniques over on his blog here.
As you know I am making 12 cards not tags.
I decided that my theme would be summer and butterflies....2 of my favourite themes. I also wanted to make something just to celebrate June and the joy of summer.
I made a background using Tim's bark stencil as I do not have the lines one he used. I also just dabbed my distress ink pads as I don't have his custom blend pad either. I also wanted to use my new twisted citron distress ink....I am loving his new colours!
Here is my inky background. I used watercolour paper,
I put together my elements
and used some remnant rubs for my sentiment, I had used this piece of card as a mop up from my inks
I added some alcohol inks to some gems
I also inked up some die cut tattered flowers, I added some abandoned coral DI to my final flowers.
So here is my finished card.
I would like to enter my card into
Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2015 June challenge
and also into these other fun challenges;
Mixed Media World Vintage

Cute card Thursdays summer colours
I had a rare Thursday at home yesterday and after I finished my list of things to do I had the afternoon outside in my studio. We had wall to wall sunshine from dawn to dusk. Billy loved being outside with me.
and when it got too hot he found some shade
Life is good, especially if you're a cat
and as the sun went down we even enjoyed dinner alfresco.
Thanks as always to everyone who visits me here and for your kind comments. I would like to give a warm welcome my newest followers. It's great to have you here sharing my creative journey. Here's to a flaming June.

As always, I am amazed with the attention to detail and the many techniques you use, really wonderful card. I love seeing cats sunbathing, I hope if I ever come back as an animal it is a cat, although one of mine brought a bird in today, which was rather sad, so far they have stuck to mice and the occasional rabbit, but I don't like it when they get birds :( Bethx
