It is surrounded by beautiful countryside which looks towards the sea.
Sadly the old high street no longer has any shops but you could see where the old Post Office had once stood.
There were so many pretty houses, I would love to own the cottage below..We enjoyed a walk down to the coast too before we headed home for dinner.
I'll share some photos of that in another post soon.
For my card today I am sharing a card I made inspired by our visit...I can just imagine the scene below in the past....................I kept the card pretty CAS so as not to distract from the sweet image. I think this might also be popular to sell in the Tea Rooms, the grand opening is less than a week away now.
and yes I even got out the sewing machine!
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
A Vintage Journey sew special
Artistic Inspirations 1/3 Anything goes/use a die cut I have used my Spellbinders floral oval and my TH celebrate die.
Cutie Pie 1/3 escape to the country
Crafty friends 1/3 in the garden
Paper Creator 1/3 anything goes
Fussy and Fancy 1/3 birthdays
Allsorts 1/3 vintage
Thanks for visiting me today and for the kind comments you take the trouble to leave. I have been gardening in the sunshine and it's now time for a cuppa with my Hb. Enjoy the weekend,
Back soon,
Bye for now,
Jane x
You certainly got the Vintage feel here Jane and nice with the sewing around the edge. I always like this range of images from Iganicio, such a shame he's not about any more.
