I chose a favourite photo from just after Christmas when we went to the woods for a lovely walk. I shared the walk on my blog here last week
This is the photo of Daisy and I sharing a cuddle on that day. I love her winter patterned leggings and Peppa Pig hat and gloves set so I decided to use those for my colourway.
I also added some pieces of a doily too.
I knew I had the perfect stencil, just like the pattern on Daisy's leggings; Tim Holtz' holiday knit. I used modelling paste and set everything aside to dry.
After a watery wash of gesso I got out another of my new crafty stash....my Tim Hotlz distress crayons. OMgoodness I LOVE these and I will be buying more colours. I just scribbled, rubbed and spritzed to my hearts content until I was happy with my background.
As I added layers of crayon I carefully made sure that the original images could still be visible in the background. If you are not "into" Disney's Frozen hidden below is Elsa and Anna..
Once I was happy with the background I die cut some shapes continuing with the love and "Frozen" theme. Snowflakes just had to feature.
I embossed some heart die cuts and then added some gilding wax to the raised areas.
Then it was time to put everything together and create my celebration of memories of Christmas 2016 to put into Daisy's Dairy. I used my Visible image stamp "just be happy" as I felt that this together with the Tim Holtz chit chat stickers were the perfect sentiments.
Here is my finished page
and some close ups to show the details
It's hard to get the bling to shine but there is plenty here from my Glamour dust and gilding wax.
I found the perfect chit chat sticker to use...Let it go is the famous song from the film. Daisy will love that Elsa and Anna are visible in the background.
My art journal page was made for the following challenges;
More than words Celebrate and bling
this is my celebration of everything from Christmas 2016, the gifts, Christmas dinner (the serviette) the walks and our family love. There is lots of bling on the page from my glitter and gilding wax.

It remained mild here yesterday. I even got some gardening done and a whole line of washing dried outside. However the temperature is dropping violently and it appears that the winter blast is on its way. Keep snug and carry on crafting.
