As it is the first of the month it is time for my Design Team card for the monthly Country View Challenge. For May the theme is "Flower power" which is just perfect for me. I love flower stamps so this was an easy theme for me. You can enter as many times as you like and link to any challenges. All the details are here
The bluebells in the local woods are in full bloom and they are looking wonderful.
We visited them recently and Bear came too...
I decided to make 2 spring tags, using the same floral stamps but using distress inks for one and the new distress oxides for the other.
Today I will share the distress ink one, I will share the oxides one on 25th May when it's my turn for my second piece over at Country View.
This is what I got up to in my studio.
These were my colour choices for my tag
I used the wrinkle free distress techique
I added some gloss texture paste through a stencil and got the shiney effect below.
I used Tim Holtz's Lady Rose stamps, I love these floral stamps.
I stamped an edge using archival ink
I then stamped his Garden flowers onto some mop up card
The lovely script stamp I used is Visible Image
with a couple of close ups...
I added some chit chat words
and some remnant rubs
and also some glitter pen to the stamens.
I would like to enter my tag up with the following challenges;
A Vintage Journey the magic of 3 I have made 3 flowers

Your bluebell images just make me swoon. I have just one bluebell in my garden! Love the tag you made! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty floral tag, Jane! The sentiment is very apt for me at the moment as I am finding my crafty style leaning more and more to clean and simple and sometimes there IS beauty in simplicity!
ReplyDeleteWe managed to get out in Daisy again this weekend and enjoyed a lovely family time, just chilling on Saturday and then we visited Tatton Hall and Beeston Castle on Sunday - the surrounding woodlands near to where we stayed were full of bluebells and in all the grass verges too - they are so pretty when they carpet the ground like this.
Hope you have a wonderful week - seems to be set fair, so I'll probably be catching some time outside in the sunshine! Hugs, Lisa x
Awww Bear looks so happy.
ReplyDeleteTag is gorgeous love the texture from the paste.
Thank you for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge x
I love the flowers and the colors you have used. And then your photos of the bluebells and your cute Bear are a delight as well.
ReplyDeleteYour tag is just gorgeous Jane! I love all the wonderful shades of green, so perfect for springtime. Amazing techniques in the background, and the black accent stamping is a fabulous splash of contrast!!
ReplyDeleteYour bluebell shot is fantastic! I haven't seen any flowers so far this year. They ripped out all of the flower beds around the lake for some reason, it seems so dreary this year without the splashes of colour everywhere. So I've decided to redesign my entire patio and build my own flower garden!!! Construction starts in a couple of weeks and I'm very excited! hugs :)
Wow, Jane, this tag has got to be a new favorite of yours for me! Thank you for sharing it with us at A Vintage Journey! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful flowers layered onto your lovely tag Jane! wonderful colors and design! thanks for joining (again!) in the AVJ Challenge! Julia xx
