Yesterday I enjoyed a delightful day out with my daughter, Daisy and Jack. We are making the most of the last few months before Daisy goes to school to have some week day trips together. We have visited Birdworld in Farnham several times and it was Daisy's choice for our day out.
We were so lucky with the weather as it only poured down with rain when we went inside for lunch and then again on my drive home.
Daisy and I even found a crafting tent!
and she coloured in a pelican which we cut out and put together.
She loves the flamingos there, some had just had babies and others were on their nests.
We took the little train ride and yes Jack had to grab the chain...he is hilarious.
He also loved looking at all the animals but signed "dog" rather than "bird to everything! He even signed plane when he saw one bird...but that's not a bad guess really is it?
Both my grandchildren attended signing classes and it is amazing how they can communicate with us before the age they can speak. I wish this was known of when my kids were babies.
And of course we had to see Nanna's favourites.
My card today is a Father's day card as we are hurtling towards June now and it is one of my latest for sale at Dotty's Teahouse, Carshalton High Street, SM5 3AE.
I just love this vintage image. I teamed it up with a Clearly Besotted stamp, some die cuts and scrabble letters.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes
Simon says stamp Monday masculine
Happy little stampers anything goes with dies
As you like it 1/3 flora or fauna and why. For this card it is fauna, dog's (and cats in my books) are man's best friend. Unconditional love and trust from them.
Little Patch of crafting friends anything goes
Simon says work it Wednesday summer

What a great day together. Daisy and Jack look as though they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I’m sure you did too. Lovely card for Dotties I’m sure it will soon be gone xxx
ReplyDeleteAwe what a lovely day out with the little ones! Daisy's pelican is a-maz-ing!!! Little Jack is so cute.....I'm fascinated by the signing and the fact that he can communicate with you before speech...wow!!
ReplyDeleteJust love the little image on you card. :)
As for GDPR....do you think there is anyone, anywhere, who knows what's going on, nothing is simple anymore!

GDPR isn't the nightmare i thought it would be for blogging...i was close to pulling my hair out ! but luckily i seem to have got through it x
It was fun to see Daisy and Jack having fun on your outing. I also enjoyed seeing a baby flamingo, I'd never seen one before and they're cute. Great card, someone will enjoy it! I also am upset with changes to Blogger - I no longer get email notifications of comments and now cannot authorize comments from my iPhone like I used to be able to. Bah humbug. Have a good weekend. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! It's so wonderful to see your dear grandchildren Jane! I apologize for my absence at your wonderful blog!! I have not forgotten you and your kindness, and my beautiful earrings and necklace! Love them still. Thanks for stopping by my dusty ol' blog..I am going to be visiting much more often now! Lovely Father's Day card too..you are so very talented!
ReplyDeleteLovely vintage image on your card, and thanks for sharing your day out. I think it's brilliant that your grandchildren are learning to sign. Baby flamingos are not very pretty though, are they? Much better when they grow up!
