Hello and welcome to November. As it's the first of the month I have my 2 design team blog posts coming up today. This is my first one for Country View Challenges where the theme for the month is "Christmas gifting" in other words your make needs to be anything other than a card.
As always there is a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for one lucky randomly selected winner to spend on the website. You can find all the details of the challenge and more examples made by my talented teamies here.
I am a huge gin fan and we have lots of different brands. Gin also makes a fab gift so I decided to design a Christmas gin tag which can be put around the neck of a bottle of gin and make a really personal Christmas pressie, with no need for gift wrap! Visible Image have just released a really awesome gin stamp set which was perfect for my make. This is what I got up to;
I used the awesome new
Visible Image "Keep your gin up"stamp set
with a background made using the amazing new Tim Holtz villainous potions distress stain spray mixed with some salvaged patina
I stamped the gin bottle and glass onto inky mop up card and cut them out, adding some gold pen to the lid of the bottle and yellow marker to the lemon I also stamped and cut out just a label in white card.
I then stamped the Father Christmas on his sleigh from
and added the merry Christmas from Christmas chaos and then one of the fun sentiments in the
"Keep your gin up"stamp set. I also stamped some of the stars and some of the star swooshes.
I stuck the bottle and glass in place and then backed the tag with sparkly gold glitter card.
Here it is finished
and here it is all ready for Christmas gifting on my favourite brand of gin......
cheers...... mine is with regular tonic, ice and a slice.
a couple of close ups
and one final shot
