I have been a little bit MIA with commenting this week in blog land...but I have had a really great excuse...Darling Daisy. My SIL had to go off to work in Dubai for the week and my hubby and I stepped in to help my daughter in these very early hard work days of having a baby. It really reminds me of when mine were tiny...it is a major achievement to get dressed and washed by midday. My girlie is a natural Mummy and is doing just brilliantly but Nana was very helpful with cooking, clearing up and providing a constant supply of freshly laundered nappies. It was not all work and no play though as we managed a coffee in Costa, daily baths, we made our clove oranges and took a walk and caught leaves.
And one very special thing my daughter asked me to help with was to decorate her Christmas tree.
How sweet are these Christmas outfits on Daisy ;0) My sweetest little Christmas pudding indeed.
My own tree was chosen last Saturday and is sitting in our garage and is ready to pot up over this weekend. I can't wait to get it decorated and will share this with you very soon...
My card today is the one I have made my darling Daisy for her very first Christmas and it uses my newly bought Wild Rose Studio's Bella's Christmas stamp, as my daughter loves this sweet baby elephant.
It took me a long time to colour the image, I used a combination of Promarkers and Prismacolor pencils. I added some white to the tree which I rather liked. I also added some Glamour Dust to Bella's hat. The Santa and sleigh die is Cheery Lynn, the fern is Marianne and the deer is Memory box which I have embossed with silver embossing powder. I have also embossed the snowflake and added a wooden snowflake which I have coloured with pewter distress paint and added a pink gem for some bling.
The sentiment is LOTV. Here are a couple of close ups.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Can't wait to get my craft room back and to get my Christmas tree up - everyone keeps telling me that it's Christmas...not that I'd know it! It's decorating of a different kind for me! Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend! Hugs, Lisa x

What a nice thing for you to help out while SIL was gone, a super way of bonding with DJ. You really should get a bottle of this ink for hubby.. it's downright LUSH. Would you get the red or blue?
