A Visible Image Christmas

Good morning today I am sharing my last pre Christmas blogged Visible Image design team make.

As everyone knows my favourite Christmas set ever is their Christmas Robin stamp set.

Now that they have co ordinating dies it makes them so easy to layer up.

I used them with the lovely Christmas Eve stencil
I also used the sentiment and snow flurry found in the Snowflake grunge set.

to make a special Christmas card.

This is what I got up to; I chose one of my shaving foam distress reinker backgrounds from my stash and spread red glitter paste through the Christmas word on the stencil.
When dry I stamped the sentiment from  Snowflake grunge set underneath and randomly stamped the snowflake flurry from the same set in blue Versafine Clair,
I stamped the large robin from the Christmas Robin stamp set ,  3 holly branches and 2 single holly leaves. I coloured these using distress pencils and die cut them using the co ordinating dies.
I then put my design together
I added some gold pen and glossy accents detailing which you will see in my photos below. I matted it onto red card and then adhered it to my white card blank.

Here is my finished card

Daffodils for St David's day and Mother's day

 Hello all and welcome to my fortnightly blogged design team make for Visible Image. Their new February release has really taken the crafting world by storm and shhhh there is more to come later in March 😀

Mother's day in the UK is on 19th March and as today is St David's day I thought it would work perfectly to share a step by step of my Mother's day sample I made using the gorgeous Golden daffodils set

with an aperture made using the Broken mesh layering die.

Right from the first day I designed some samples using the gorgeous layering dies I discovered that the apertures left when die cutting the shape are as useful as the die cuts themselves. I have shared lots of makes over the last year using all 3 of them.

This is what I got up to;

 I used the Broken mesh die to cut an aperture in a piece of 4 3/4 by 6 3/4" turquoise card.

I stamped the sentiment at the bottom in black and clear heat embossed.

I found a piece of left over Brushos card from my stash

and stamped the daffodils .
I lined this up behind the aperture and cut to size.

I repeat stamped just the daffodil heads and the single daffodil in the set onto some yellow inky mop up card and cut them out, adding some gold pen detailing and glossy accents. You can see this in the final photos.

I stuck the heads over the stamped ones and added 3 single daffodils, 1 at the top and 2 at the bottom of the card. I added some gold sequins as a finishing touch.

I then adhered the finished panel to a 5X7" white card blank.
Here is my finished card
with a couple of close ups

and 1 final shot;

  Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £20.00 I have added some live links within my post to take you to some of the products I used.

For this make I decided to go festive as it is only 1 month tomorrow until Christmas Eve. Are you ready? I also wanted to make something using the awesome new Visible Image co ordinating dies which are in stock over on the CVC website and the new distress pencils.
I used the Keep your gin up stamps set available  here

 and it's co ordinating dies set  available here
with the beautiful VI Christmas Eve set and a sentiment from Sentimental Christmas (currently out of stock but if you email CVC they can get them in for you).
This is what I got up to;
I coloured the stamped and die cut images with pencils from the #3 distress pencil set I LOVE these pencils.
I have done a lot of colouring with the pencils check these out.

On a white tag I stamped the trees from the Christmas Eve set in green ink and clear empbossed them.
I then stamped the sentiment.
I added some spritzes of distress mica spray
and stamped the stars in silver pigment ink.
Then it was time to put everything together .
Here is my finished tag.
with a close up
and one final shot;

Where flowers bloom for Visible Image

  Good morning it's time for my fortnightly blogged design team make for Visible Image. Visible Image added a new product to their line earlier this year, their layering dies. These are so incredibly versatile. The only limit to their use is your imagination. Today I would like to share another way to use the fabulous  Framed fibres die.

 I shared a canvas earlier this year, by cutting up the die cut, with this make here; using it with the creative chaos flower set and the mesh die.
Today I wanted to share a way of using it again for flower stems, but in a different way and using it within its frame.
I used the gorgeous Where flowers bloom set for this project.

This is what I got up to;

I used both flower stamps and the numbers stamp to create a background; I simply repeat stamped using Versafine Clair green oasis ink over a piece of yellow mop up inky card from my stash,

I positioned the  Framed fibres die
and ran it through my Sizzix Switch die cutting machine. (I absolutely love this machine. I had a manual Big Shot for years but this bigger (A4 size) and electronic model is the bees knees! )

I also had a piece of silver sparkle alcohol ink card inked with alcohol inks in my stash which I also cut out using the die.
I removed the 1st die cut from the frame.
and using the same numbers stamp, repeat stamped all over using Summertime Versafine Claire ink.

To attach the sparkly inside die cut I decided to use acetate as I really wanted the "stems" to stand out as a feature.
I cut a piece of acetate slightly bigger than the aperture
and adhered the sparkly fibres frame in place using Glossy accents.

Next it was time to make my flowers. These were stamped onto a piece of shaving foam marbled card coloured with distress re inkers.
I cut them out, coloured the centres with gold glitter pen and added Glossy accents.
I also stamped out the words Love, Laugh and Bloom using Summertime ink and cut them out. Once the flowers were dry I put my design together.

Here it is finished
with a couple of close ups

and one final shot;

I also took it out into the garden and took a photo.....

You can see where my inspiration often comes from!
