A blue sparkly start to Christmas

Hello I am back to share some more photos from our Disneyland Paris trip. The Christmas decorations  were so pretty and the theme seemed to be blue. Daisy loved them.
The tree was en-nor-mouse
and the Christmas parade made everyone smile

The evening parade was just as spectacular

I decided to use blue as the colour for my card today...a Christmas card. I used 3 distress ink blues and a mask for a moon
and I created a moonlit snowy scene with a deep blue sky
I die cut some trees and embossed them in silver
and made this card

My card was created for these challenges

The Funkie Junkie 12 tags of Christmas #9
If you would like to play along with Linda's challenge you can see all the rules here. There are some great prizes for the winners too. The challenge is generously sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique Linda shares a tag each week and you just have to take something from it and make something Christmas themed. This is her card for week 9 here. I took the deep blue sky and the embossed trees and deer to use for some of the inspiration in my design.

I chose to work with Senicio 1

and Christmas trees 1
and I have made 2 cards today to showcase these awesome new stencils.
First up is my card using Senicio
I used black card and Candied apple distress oxide ink through the stencil
sprinkled on some embossing powder and heated
 and got this cool effect
I used it as a background for the card below using the Trendy birds 2 stamp set
here is a close up of the background
For my second card I brayered a Christmas plaid background using paints
and then added glitter pastes through the stencil.
A sentiment from the Christmas reindeer completed a simple Christmas card to show off this awesome stencil.
I would like to enter my card (or both if appropriate) into the following challenges;

Your eyes are the window to your soul

Good morning. If you are just visiting to see my card this post is very photo heavy so just scroll to the bottom. However if you would like to have a little feast for your eyes read on...

We saw so many wonderful sights at Disneyland Paris last week. There is just so much detail there and everything is fresh, clean and inspiring.
Even the entrance just filled us with joy. What is there not to love about this....

and yes just look at the colour of that sky!

What was wonderful was seeing Disney through the eyes of our darling 4 year old granddaughter Daisy. We took our our children to Disney in the 1990s and early noughties but they were older and I don't think we stepped into Fantasy Land. With our Daisy though, this was where we spent a lot of our time.
Most days we walked through the castle to Fantasy land. Upstairs is the most beautiful Sleeping Beauty story told in stained glass windows.

One day we even went to lunch with 4 Princesses...but those photos are for another day 😊

Today is my weekly Design Team inspiration for Visible Image. This week I chose to use another of the fab older sentiments which works perfectly for my post today.

This stamp has such a unique typeface. I have often used the "eye" as a partner for this stamp but I decided I wanted to showcase this great sentiment all by itself.

I had the idea to stamp the sentiment on clear acetate "window" and then create a very textured starry sky.
This is my Distress Oxide starry sky
To add some sparkly stars I used sparkle medium through the
cosmic skies  stencil.
I used a clear based one as the inks soak into the medium and take up a wonderful glow...
I made my "window" and used little star brads in each corner to attach my sentiment.
Here is my finished card.
In real life it has a very textured sparkle, just like the sky at night twinking.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges.

Pile it on 2/3 large sentiments

Craty catz #394 anything goes

Cute card Thursday stars

Everybody art 1/3 anything goes

Retro Rubber #76 anything goes I have had this stamp since the Ally Pally stamp show Sept 2016

Your eyes really are the windows to your soul and on that trip our souls soured with total joy. Being with Daisy for those 5 days was wonderful. Her eyes saw things in such a unique childlike way which we found magical. I will share some more photos soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for the lovely comments you take the time to leave me.

Disney's Winter Wonderland

It's 25th November which means that it's exactly 1 month until Christmas. I have been a little awol this week...with good reason...I've been in Disneyland Paris! My Hb and I took darling Daisy on a 5 day trip. It was am-az-zing and the whole resort was decked out for Christmas. It truly was Winter Wonderland.

I have over 300 photos to sort through and I will share some posts but today here are just a couple..

On Main Street it even snows! My card today just had to feature snow. We were so lucky with the weather, 2 days with crisp blue skies and the rest of the time was dry!
I  took some Broken China oxide and built u p some layers on some watercolour card which I then embossed using a snowy folder.
I  dry brushed on some gesso which brought out the pretty snowflake pattern

I die cut some Tim Holtz snowflakes and then added more gesso and glitter and stamped his great retro Merry Christmas sentiment.
I then put on my creative hat to make my card
My card was made for the following challenges;

The Funkie Junkie 12 tags of Christmas #8

This is her card for week 8 here. I took the snowflake embossed background, the large die cut snowflake and flag style sentiment to use for some of the inspiration in my design.
