More sentiments for Country View Challenges

 Good morning I am back with my 2nd design team make for our February challenge over at Country View Challenges.  I am delighted to be the host for this month and I have chosen the theme "Be sentimental". So I would like to see your crafty makes which include a sentiment and/or some inspiring words.  You can enter a maximum of 5 times and into a maximum of 10 challenges, including ours. As always there is a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for one lucky randomly selected winner to spend on the website.  You can find all the details of the challenge and more examples made by my talented teamies here.

  Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £20.00 I have added some live links within my post to take you to some of the products I used.

For this make I used a sentiment from another of the many fab Visible Image sentiment sets. This set was from the September release and is called Better days ahead
teamed with their
which Susan can order in for you if you email her via CVC.

This is what I got up to;
I made a drippy inky background using distress oxide sprays;
I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment

then I stamped the Beautiful soul, adding sequins and some white gel pen details which you will see in the finished photos.

Here is my finished card

Be sentimental with Country View challenges

Good morning and welcome to our February challenge over at Country View Crafts. I am delighted to be the host for this month and I have chosen the theme "Be sentimental". Many of the Visible Image sets that Susan stocks have lots of inspiring words and sentiments and today I used 2 sets;
with some words from So much stronger
and the Broken mesh layering die

This is what I got up to;
I blended  mustard seed, crackling campfire and spiced marmalade distress oxides onto a piece of white card and added some drips of water which I blotted off. I also had a piece of inky card in my stash from which I die cut an aperture using the broken mesh die.

I stamped the hummingbird in the aperture
I then stamped a 2nd bird onto white card and cut out the top wing to use for decoupaging.
I coloured the images with colours from the set 3 distress watercolour pencils
I stamped around the edge of the mesh top card using the background stamp in the Life is beautiful set. I also gold embossed the words onto black card and cut them out.
I then stuck the decoupaged wing  and the sentiments in place. I also stamped some of the words from the So much stronger set across the bottom of the card.
I matted and layered my card and adhered it to a 7X5" white card blank. I added some sequins and white gel pen details as finishing touches.

More "Time" inspiration for Country View Challenges

 Hello I am back with my 2nd design team make for Country View Challenges.  The theme for this month is of course "Time" so let's see all your time related makes...clocks, words etc You can enter a maximum of 5 times and into a maximum of 10 challenges, including ours.

This is what I got up to. As we are fast approaching Valentine's Day I decided to make a love time themed card. I have a very treasured and long discontinued  weathered clock Tim Holtz die which I used for my first project. If you missed it you can find it here. I decided to use another from my stash called Time Keeper with a Visible Image stamp set which has the perfect sentiments and heart for love themed projects called Have I told you.  Susan hasn't got "Have I told you" set in stock at the moment but you can order it from her if you just send an email. I also used the sentiment with the awesome time swirl stamp from their Ahead of our time stamp set .

 Susan hasn't got "Have I told you" set in stock at the moment but you can order it from her if you just send an email.
I used my lumberjack plaid and iced spruce distress sprays to create my background.

I also had a piece of inky mop up card to which I added some gold mica stain spray to give it some sparkle and used this to die cut the clock face.

I stamped the Visible Image sentiment in the centre using the die cut for placing.
I stamped the time swirl from their Ahead of our time stamp set and added the hearts which are also in the "Have I told you" sentiment set.
I die cut the clock hands in black and attached them with a white heart brad for a little extra detail. I then matted it onto black card and adhered to a square white card blank.

It is time to start a brand new crafting year with our first challenge of 2023 over at Country View Crafts.   Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £20.00 I have added some live links within my post to take you to some of the products I used.

I wanted to use my treasured old Tim Holtz Bigz clock dies so I have used one for this make and the other for my 2nd DT make which I will share here on 15th Jan.

This is what I got up to;
I used a piece of inky mop up card to die cut the weathered clock die.

Using shabby shutters, iced spruce and pine needles distress spray stains I created this drippy inky background.
The new year sentiment is from the A7 size Visible Image Classic Christmas stamp set

I then added sparkle using the Visible Image Sparkle stamps and Wow embossing powder
I cut the clock hands in black card and stuck the clock face in place adding a sparkly brad to the centre.
I absolutely LOVE my mischievous cats and knew they had to see the new year in too so I added faces to 3 of them.

I let them climb aboard 😂

Here is my finished make;

A Country View robin merry Christmas to you

Hello I am back with my 2nd design team make for Country View Challenges.  The theme for this month is of course Christmas so let's see all your festive makes.

This is my last DT post for Country View for 2022 and I thought I would use one of my favourite stamp sets from this year, which is the Visible Image Christmas robin set.

 It's been so popular that it is now out of stock but will be restocked soon.
This is what I got up to;
I stamped all 3 robins, coloured them and cut them out minus their legs.

I stamped and cut out 5 of the holly leaves images and coloured those too.

I stamped the branch around the card to make a frame and added some dots of colour using the "snow" stamp in the set with distress oxides...a very useful stamp!

I stamped the sentiment from "Sentimental Christmas" in the centre

I stamped the large robin in his place to give him his legs back!
and then added the coloured cut out one on top. I glued the holly in place, tucking the other robins behind. For a finishing touch I added some Stickles glitter glue and white pen details. Here is my finished make
with a couple of close ups

and 1 final shot;

I hope I may have inspired you to join in with the challenge this month? Once again here you can find all the details for our December challenge  here.  Enjoy all your Christmas prep and the festivities of my very favourite time of the year.

 Country View challenges will return on 1st January. See you on the other side!
