Good morning I am here with a 2nd dose of inspiration for our current October Bokeh challenge over at Country View Challenges. I explain the concept of bokeh in my first DT post and if you missed that do check it out here.
As we are getting nearer to Christmas and I am sure most of you are gearing up to making your Christmas cards my card today is a Christmas one. I am certainly seeing signs of the colder weather all around me including the ripening of the holly.
I used a photo editor to add a bokeh effect to this photo
Fun isn't it!
My first project was full of colour and this time I went for more festive colours; black, white and gold.
This is what I got up to. I used the distress ink to make my background.
I die cut my leaping deer and stamped them using white pigment and the tiny heart from the Visible Image sentimental Christmas stamp set
I also used the Merry Christmas sentiment from this set on the card.
I used my same hand made circle die cut stencil as show in my first post here to add the pigment ink.
Here is my finished card.
And a close up.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
Winter wonderland 1/3 merry and bright
ABC Christmas 1/3 U for upcycle and V for velocity mine is V for velocity, my deer are leaping into the snowy sky!
Pixie's snippets playground #363
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge #460
Sweet stampin Christmas 1/3 anything goes opt stars
Double D 1/3 silhouettes
Cute card Thursday 1/3 spots/dots
I really enjoy using the bokeh technique and I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.
You can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with other challenges. There is also a £20 crafting voucher up for grabs to the lucky randomly selected winner to spend over on the Country View Crafts on line store.
