More stamps and nature inspiration for STAMPlorations

It is time for my 2nd DT project for our current
Theme and Photo prompt challenge over at STAMPlorations
You can see my teamis reminder projects here All the details of the challenge can be found here
You can choose to go with the nature theme or chose to go with something from the photo; perhaps the colours or image..or as I always love to challenge myself to do...both! If it is not obvious just let us know on your post.

I worked with the following awesome products and have added live links to them in my post. Remember if you use my unique code STAMPGIRLJANE at the check out you can get an additional 20% off on top of any existing discounts! Shery ships internationally at very low cost too.

For my 2nd card I used these gorgeous STAMP products.
A cup of Roses
a sentiment from Always tea time
and a die from the Crazy double running stitch die set
This is what I got up to;
I stamped the cup of roses onto watercolour card and coloured it with my Zig pens.
I fussy cut it out.
I made a background using Brushos and distress spray.
I used the stitched labels die to cut a panel and stamped the sentiment at the top.
Then I put everything together.
Here is my make.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Love to craft 2/3 anything goes
Dragonfly dreams 2/3 make it feminine

1 week until the Creative Craft show Birmingham

EDIT 12th March: sadly the decision has been made to cancel all events at the NEC due to the Coronavirus situation.  At this moment in time everyone needs to stay safe. It is very disappointing but sensible...there will always be another time!

This time next week I will be back on my crafting travels. I am demonstrating Visible Image stamps and stencils for Stamper's Grove again at the Creative Craft show at the NEC Birmingham. I will be using lots of the fab products James sells, including PaperArtsy Infusions, Brushos, Distress Oxides and alcohol inks. The show runs from 19th-22nd March and I will be there for the first 2 days, Thursday 19 and Friday 20th.
For this show I have gone with a spring theme as not only will I be welcoming in the first day of spring on the Friday but it is also my darling daughter's birthday. We will all be celebrating with her on the Saturday.

As always I have been inspired by Mother Nature for my projects and also my garden where there are now lots of signs that spring is just around the corner. My tiny alpine narcissi are in flower,
The viola that I planted up last autumn have not let me down all winter and are still blooming their heads off.
and the pots of bulbs Daisy and I planted up last year are just about to pop.
My new lawn is looking lush and enjoyed having sweet Bear to stay. He has now gone home to his Daddy and Billy is back downstairs.
So here is one of my samples I have made for the show. I have created a Spring Sprite with her leafy hair and green lips (of course).
with a couple of close ups. The background was created with distress oxides, the leaves with Brushos and there are lots of glossy accent dew drops on the leaves as well as adding some shine to her lips and eyes.

All the stamps are of course by Visible Image and James will have them all for sale at the show.
I would like to enter my spring sprite into the following challenges;

Love to craft 1/3 anything goes
Dragonfly dreams 1/3 make it feminine
Craft stamper take it make it 1/3 anything goes
Pixies snippets playground #373 I have used lots of snippets to make my spring leaves
Sweet stampers 1/3 Easter or spring
Simon says stamp Monday a bit o green
Creative artiste 1/3 anything mixed media

If you plan to come to the show next week please stop by Stand A10 and say hi, it would be so lovely to meet you.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

Cats eyes

Good morning it is time for my 2nd DT post for Country View Crafts for the current March challenge I am hosting which I called "The eyes have it". I would like to see creations featuring an eye or eyes either as the main focus of a project or part of a person/face which again is prominent. Please, no tiny birds in a tree where we can just about find a glimpse of 1 eye using a microscope! They can also be eyes from animals/ characters or fantasy creatures as long as it is the focus of your entry.  One lucky randomly selected entry will receive a £20 gift code to spent on the website.
All the details can be found here

If you missed my first eye project on Sunday you can find it here

For today's project I enlisted the help of my sweet cat Billy. He's just come downstairs to say hello and will take over from me here.
 Hi all
I'm Billy and usually I only write Jane's blog posts when the trees come into the house and I get mu annual visit from Santa and Rudolf ....but rather than trees in the house this time there is .............a Bear in the house.....
Yes her son's dog is staying..he made these eyes at me but I'm staying upstairs where I'm safe.
Bear has also made himself at home in my newly landscaped garden too..Jane says she will share some photos soon.
Jane thought I could help her making a card for Bear's 8th birthday on Friday (28th Feb) I knew just which stamp set to suggest....tee hee! Who says cats are not clever 😼
This is one of the fab Visible Image stamp sets called Curious Cats which Susan has on the website here (does that mean she sells spiders too??)
I think it looks a little like me doesn't it?
Jane is always crafting and there are often pieces of card lying around which she calls inky mop ups.
I put my foot on this one as I liked the bright colours.
She also used one of the new Visible Image sentiment sets, this one is the Happy Birthday one (you can buy it here.) I had a look around and found there are lots of lovely new occasions verses and they are just £5.99 too! NO sign of spiders though.
I watched Jane put this together, here's what she got up to; she stamped the face and sentiment
She also got out the new scribble stencil I chose it as I thought it looked like a ball of wool, that's the cat in me!
She blended oxide inks to add a little colour and texture, just like me!
Next came the eye colour...I handed her the green pen...
and a pink nose, using me as the model of course.
Here is her finished card...
with some close ups

and one final shot.
Jane usually enters something called challenges but she has been too rushed off her feet so she just wants me to purr at this point...never a problem!

I am hoping normal service will be restored in the house soon when Bear goes home. Thanks for stopping by and when Jane says "The eyes have it" it has to be Cat not Dog eyes every time...don't you agree?

Back again in December....unless Jane goes mad again and does a Christmas in the summer post again...

Bye for now,

Billy and Jane (and I suppose Bear too) xxx
