For my first technique I sprayed using distress oxides through my stencil using
Anchors away
on the left is the first print and I then just turned the inky stencil over to get the print on the right. You get 2 for 1 with this technique!

I also worked with the True north set
and a birthday sentiment from Party time
Here is my finished card
my second is a layered technique using
Using distress inks I inked through part of the stencil and then moved the stencil and used anther colour. I repeated this until I achieved the background I wanted.
I just added several layers and then stamped the bold sentiment
enough from the say it big series and heart and patches from romantic expressions 1
to finish my card.
My 3rd technique used some crackle paste through the
I added a sentiment from Trendy butterflies 1 to make this card.
and my 4th and final technique is a really fun one using Ranger alcohol lift off ink through the
I used the sentiment and image from blossom like a butterfly to make my final stenciled card.

the purple & blue tones and I want to try
the alcohol ink lift off technique. The 3rd card
is really pretty also.

I love the crackle technique! So pretty! And also the alcohol lift technique looks amazing. Absolutely beautiful cards, Jane.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started learning how to create cards - I hated to get messy - I was such a neat freak - not any more - once I discovered how fun it was to get messy with wet media and try new techniques and such it became a fun adventure - hello I said to self - that is WHY there is SOAP - heheh - nice techniques here Jane with those stencils and media - fabulous work indeed - I like each of these creations and techniques - Thanks for your inspiration and sharing your art!

ReplyDeleteJane, all of your techniques are awesome, and I want to give them all a shot. But I have to get a few supplies first...., lift off ink, crackle paste, namely. Your techniques created some gorgeous cards. And the anchor card is great because you used both papers on it.
