Here is Linda's inspiration tag #7 and the themes I wanted to run with were the use of tags, the wonderful snowflakes, the poinsettia and using a monochrome colour scheme. For my colour palette though I wanted to use black not the sepia. So off I went to my garden studio and came up with my card.
I managed to recently buy the great Sizzix tags #2 set which I believe is actually retired so I wanted to use it for my tags. I used my distress inks to create a black monochrome background on the tags and then used my versatile Visible Image Bronte verse stamp to stamp some text onto them and blinged them up with gems and snowflakes. Here is a close up
I used plain black card for the backing card and embossed it using my snowflake embossing folder. I went over the raised surface with metallic gilding wax to give them some depth and then added lots of Frantage to give lots of sparkle, yes I know I just love this stuff! I also added lots of die cut snowflakes.
The poinsettia was die cut in silvers/greys/blacks and even vellum.
Here it is in close up

I am sure everyone wants to see a few more Daisy photos. These have been sent to me by my darling daughter. They came home from hospital on Tuesday late afternoon and are just fine. They even took her out for her first walk in her little baby sling yesterday. We are going back down to visit tomorrow....I am counting down the hours....
Enjoy these photos and I will be back with a Daisy post at the weekend and will also be able to show you the card I have made....a special one as you can imagine ;0)
Thanks so much for all the wonderful messages and emails you sent congratulating us on the birth of our darling granddaughter. I still keep pinching myself that this darling baby girl has come into our life and I just feel so blessed.
Back soon,
Bye for now,
