Today's tag inspiration can be see if you click here. The first thing I noticed were the sweet cardinal birds and I remembered that I have a fab image that I could ink up for this project. I also liked the criss-cross stitching across the tag, the tree with the words on, the number 25 and also the fun ribbon tied with a snowflake. I used all this ideas to create my Jane's Journal twist card.
Here is my take on the inspirational tag.
I don't have a sewing machine, I occasionally borrow my Mum's so I remembered I bought a paper sewing kit last year very cheap on Ebay which I wanted to try out.
I chose the cross stitch head and rolled this across my sheets of paper.
This pierced guide holes which I used to make the stitches. I love the touch of bling on the green paper, it has such a fab texture and shine which is hard to show in the photos.
The trees were made by Distress inking some old book pages and then cutting out with my Marianne Christmas tree die. I also cut the numbers 2 and the 5 from the scraps using my Quickutz die
The image is a Meljen's designs and I coloured it with Promarkers and then fussy cut it out
I added some Glamour Dust to the snow which you can see in the finished card above.
I also cut some hessian into a small strip and tied it with twine and a heart wooden button with a die cut snowflake underneath.
here is it in close up
Here are a couple more close ups of my finished card
They look very cosy don't they?
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

This post is also a rather special one as it is my 300th post!!! Woop woop!!
Yes, I am staggered that I have written that many over the last 3 1/4 years. Goodness knows how many photos I have posted! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my lovely blogging friends whether you "read silently" or leave comments. Some of you have joined in reading Jane's Journal recently but some of you have been there from the very beginnings of my blog writing and I want you to know what fun it is to have you visiting me here week in and week out. I have made some really lovely blogging friendships and I treasure this. Your inspiring comments are an absolute joy to read. Blogging has really been such a blessing. People who don't read or write blogs just don't get it and cannot appreciate the fun we have. Life is just a touch busy at the moment to sort out a giveaway but I promise I will save something special for those dreary days in the New Year to spice up the post Christmas/New Year blues. I will keep you posted.
It's turning chillier again but then as it's only 48 days til Christmas it is good timing. There is no news on the baby front yet, the due date for my girlie is tomorrow, 8 November....sooo exciting.
One other person who wants to say hello is my beloved Billy. He is finding the colder weather a bit of a chore so here he is in his favourite chair, waving to you all.
What a sweetie my pink nosed boy is ;0)
Back soon,
Thanks again everyone.
Bye for now,
Jane x
