This time of the year there are not too many people around and we decided to walk along the river and finish off with afternoon tea. As we walked towards the river we noticed a short traffic jam and wondered what was the cause. We laughed when we saw it....a donkey. Yes it had decided to walk along the road towards some new grazing. In the New Forest ponies and donkeys roam free and have right of way.
The sun popped in and out the clouds and created some gorgeous colours. I was so glad I had my camera with me and happily snapped away.
The ground is very waterlogged but fortunately there is no evidence of any flooding.
The bare trees also created some wonderful silhouettes.
Daisy slept most of the time cuddled against her Daddy's chest in her baby carrier.
She is such a contented soul. Note that she has grown into Nana's knitted hat number 2 ;0
We didn't see any, but there are harvest mice in the hedgerows which are starting to burst into life.
So my card today just had to be one featuring some little critters who will be starting to emerge soon from the hedgerows. What better than a House Mouse stamp and plenty of sunny butterflies.
Here is that sweet image in close up which I coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Prismacolor pencils. The butterflies are cut using lots of my scrap pieces of backing paper with my MS punch. I added a fun wooden chicken and some grass die cuts.The flowers are Prima with a pink sparkly brad in the centre. This cute card is finished off with some pink ribbon and a bow.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
