My favourite 5 creations of 2014

This is part 2 of Debby over at a scrap journey fun annual challenges. I showed you my favourite 5 Christmas cards here. Do pop on over and link up your own favourites, there is even some lovely candy to be won. Thanks Debby for organizing this again.
Join me on the 30th December
This time we are allowed to show our 5 favourites of anything paper based we made in 2014. I feel my crafting has really grown during the last year. I have started to dabble much more into mixed media which has opened my eyes to another dimension in my crafting. I had a ball joining in with Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2014 and also with the Funkie Junkie's 12 tags of Christmas. I also went to some fab workshops. This has all really helped me learn new skills and techniques. I really enjoy the challenge of something new. I will never lose my love of cute card making though, I think I must be a rather unusual crafter as I embrace both grunge and cute styles.

I had a look through all my makes last year and came up with these 5 (well there are 7 but Debby says that is OK)...they are in no particular order.

Number 1
The birthday card I made for my darling granddaughter Daisy's 1st birthday
Number 2
The Moment I made after our amazing holiday in Seville
Number 3
One of my halloween tags
Number 4
 An accordion
card I made for my daughter's birthday which was a Guest Design piece for CVC's monochrome challenge
Number 5
The Moment I made after visiting the poppy installation at the Tower of London. This is a photo of my dear Granddad in World War 1. There is a link to this post here it was an amazing day out.

Number 6
The mixed media piece I made as a guest designer for Crafty Hoarders,Office Supplies challenge
and finally number 7 my tag book I made for my Hb with our holiday photos in.

Thanks Debby for allowing us to revisit our work from 2014. I look forward to a new year of creativity.

I decided my card challenge card for today should be very bright and cheerful as the weather today has been pants. It has poured with rain all day. It features the sweet house mouse and he is looking very summery sipping his lemonade. Lovely thoughts of summer days to come........
I made the backing paper with distress inks and some floral stamping with gold embossing powder. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.
And in the words of the sentiment...it is for you...all of you out there who take the time to visit me here and to leave such kind comments.
Thanks so much.

I would like to enter my house mouse card into the following challenges;

Gruffies and Guests buttons and bows
Natalie and Amy all things new my new is the ribbon and red button which came from Santa ;0)
Country view use something new to you ...it's my lovely polka dot ribbon and red button

I hope you are enjoying the weekend? It's time to start taking down our decorations tomorrow as we will not have time on 12th night to do it. My Hb and I will sit at our festive table with the tree lights on for one last time tonight. Then it really is time to say goodbye to my favourite time of the year...it's been a great Christmas but now I am really looking forward to the new year and everything new it brings.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

Jane x
