My niece loves pink so it was not surprising to see her bridesmaids were pretty in pink. Even her sweet dog took a walk down the aisle
The sun shone
and Daisy was such a good girl
and after the service the bride and groom were driven to the reception in a vintage T Bird.
What a way to arrive...............
The reception was festival themed and there was even a bouncy castle. Daisy couldn't wait to get her shoes off.
My 2 big babies (29 and 26)
How dapper my son looked
The marquis was so beautifully decorated. My niece and her now Hb had been so busy. I loved all the details.
Beautiful bunting and flowers everywhere. We laughed and smiled at the speeches, ate lots of delicious food and danced the night away
Until it was time to go home
The immediate family all stayed in the same hotel and the next morning we all enjoyed breakfast together with the bride and groom. It was then sadly time to say our goodbyes. I was given one of the flower displays and when I got home I put it on the table in the garden and admired the gorgeous vintage coloured flowers and pondered on the Moment I wanted to make to mark my Niece's special day. It would be my next page in Jane's Journal where I keep all these Moments. I also wanted to enter some fun August challenges.
I decided that the photo of the flowers could be the centre of my Moment. I printed it out from my computer.
Over the last few days my Moment came to life in my garden studio.
I added tissue tape, paper and some texture paste to my multi media card. Music was a big part of their day both at the church and reception so I found some music themed tissue paper.
I wanted to represent the gorgeous shimmery lace in my niece's wedding dress and veil as well as the bunting in the marquis so I found an old reel of vintage lace in my stash. I bought it years ago and had been saving it for something special.
I made up some sprays of Fresco paints and got spraying with cream and pink to get the colours I wanted.
On each table there were pots of bubbles which we had such fun with so I decided that shimmery bubbles were needed too.....
So once I had my vintage background ready it was time to add all my elements.
Here is my final piece.
and some close ups . I love this stamp by Tim Holtz..... I have embossed it in black
Lots of sparkle, and lace effect die cuts in the cornersmy photo I took of the flowers in the garden when I got home.
Thanks for lasting with me to the end....I treasure these Moments and I so enjoy creating something to remember them by.
I would like to enter my Vintage Wedding Moment into the following challenges;
Scrap around the world August Below is their gorgeous mood board. My Moment measures 10X9"
I was inspired by the waves and footprint photo...the sea looks like lace and sparkles so beautifully..I wanted to use all this sparkle and texture from the footprint in my Moment. I was also inspired by the words on the tag...I used a paper one instead with some stamped Tim Holtz inspirational words. I also added lots of brown highlights, such cool vintage colours. The tissue tape I used has the words journey on it, as I feel the whole mood board is sharing a journey, just like the journey my niece and her Hb are starting together.

Thanks for sharing the wedding festivities of your niece and husband. I adore weddings myself and have attended two this year. It's hard not to call our adult children babies. There should be a name beyond children since they are adults now but they will remain our children forever! Glad they grow up though! Your scrapbook page is lovely. You should add lace on another page and put the bridal couple on it as well and their invitation! My scrapbooking consists on making books through Shutterfly and using their stickers and pages....oh it is so fun and about as price of hand scrapbooking. I have done so far this year. One just arrived yesterday! Love it! I do miss the by hand scrapbooking but there's less mess to clean up! :-} Have a good week!
