The pad is called Gypsy, Gypsy and consists of big 12" by 12" papers. They are such a gorgeous texture that I had to have a stroke before I cut into them. Does any one else hate cutting into lovely papers...funny isn't it.
I made 2 cards, I will share the second one another time. For the first one I was inspired by this gorgeous sheet which reminded me of Victorian scraps.
I also used this lovely roses sheet from the pad for my backing paper and cut a piece to fit my card. I decided to make a very vintage looking card and even used a Kraft card blank to add to the feel. I distressed the edges too
I mounted it on a Spellbinders frame and even the paper in the frame is the reverse of one of the sheets in the pad. I added some Lili of the Valley stamped tags and sentiment and a snippet of ribbon.The rose frame around the sentiment is Wild Rose studios. There are also couple of gems to give some sparkle.
So this is what I made......lucky me winning such lovely papers.
Here are some close ups
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
Pixie's snippets playground 194 I have used snippets of card to make my vintage stamped tags and a snippet of ribbon too.

We have Daisy staying. Bless her, I have had such fun this afternoon after work. She had her bath at 6.30pm and then into her travel cot at 7pm and is fast asleep, such an angel. I won't linger for long here as my Hb and I plan an early night ready for our little sweetheart to be awake and bouncing at 7am!
Thanks for visiting me and enjoy your weekend, we certainly will...the conker hunt awaits tomorrow.
Back soon,
Bye for now,
Jane x

Wow, amazing papers and the card you made looks like a winner to me. I hope we get to see some fun Daisy pix soon! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteOooer, Jane, those really care stunning papers indeedy! LOVE your card, beautifully thought out and made.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of those papers before - and I do agree that there's a real look of Victorian scraps there. I know it was a little before our time but we did still have them when I was a kid - used to keep them carefully layered in a tin and play swops at break times at school! Then moved onto scraps of material - my most prized was a deep red square of velvet :) Memories!

Beautiful! I love the paper and what you did with them. I'll also admit to a little jealousy looking at your garden photos. My garden hasn't done nearly as well this year. Enjoy your harvest!
