Nearer the witching hour

Good Monday morning it is time for my fortnightly design team post for Visible Image stamps and today I am sharing another of my Halloween tags I have made for my big and little babies. I shared my guardian angel tag 2 weeks ago here in case you missed it. Today I am embracing the witching hour using the awesome
the birds from Into the woods (but you will see further in this post that one turned into a bat!)
the smaller cats from Stay curious

and a couple stamps from Create it
This is what I got up to. I used a piece of inky mop up card from my stash and die cut a tag and then my bats.
I stamped, coloured with Zig watercolour pens and cut out my witch.
I stamped and embossed the cats  (sorry about the reflection it was very sunny that day in my studio) and cut some out.
I found a very old Halloween paper from my stash and added the sitting cat from Create it! I stamped the little tree and leaves in brown from Own it, and 2 of the owls from Into the woods
However I noticed a problem.....
yes I stamped the owl into the O of frog upside down. I muttered and was really annoyed with myself until I realise that upside down it looked like a bat and that it was even better than an owl on the O!!What a stroke of luck. Or perhaps the witch had cast a spell? 🤣🦉🦇
I also made some bottles of poison using the stamp from the Alice in wonderland stamp set

I backed my tag with black card and added a layer of purple die cut mesh.

Spot the bat  owl 😉

 and one last shot
I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges

  2. I really sat on the edge of my seat as I watched this come together, Jane! Fabulous creativity in creating the spooky layers, and each of your elements works perfectly with the next. The upside down owl really does pass for a bat in repose. Love your tag, and even though I don't go for witches, this one seems to be a nice witch caring for her kitties! Thank you for playing along again at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog in our It's Halloween challenge; I always love seeing what you make! Hugs!
