Saints and souls

Good morning, wow here we are it's 1st November with just over 7 weeks til Christmas, how fast this year is flying by.  It will soon be time for putting the fairy at the top of the tree. I spotted this very expensive one in Harrods on my annual visit with my Mum recently , pretty but pretty expensive too!
It is of course time for my November DT project for Country View Challenges. The theme this month is to hand stamp the focal of your card, so no digis, dies etc please but you can use these in the background, as long as we can see stamping as the main focus of your card. All the details can be found here.

Halloween or All-souls' day is over and today is All Saints' day. I wanted to mark this transition with a tag. My Visible Image guardian angel served as my "saint" saying goodbye to Halloween and looking forward to searching the starry skies at Christmas. Not long now!

I wanted to give another outing for my hocus pocus stencil and made an inky background using distress ink sprays; mustard seed, vintage photo, frayed burlap and tarnished brass
I then added some gold embossing pasted through the stencil

I loved the effect and I'm glad I took a photo as I then covered most of this up (as you do!)
I used the Visible image guardian angel stamp and stamped it onto some inky mop up card, the large skull from Mr Bone Jangles onto white card and also one of the small moths from Glimmer of light onto acetate. I  added gold glitter under the wings. I then layered up my tag with a spider's web die cut and a few stars.
Here is is;
with a couple of close ups

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges;

Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes
The house that stamps built anything goes
Through the craft room door 2/2 anything goes
Sweet stampin 2/3 Halloween or black and orange
Try it on Tuesday 2/3 colours of autumn
Happy little stampers watercolour anything goes

 I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.
You can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with other challenges. There is also a £20 crafting voucher up for grabs to the lucky randomly selected winner to spend over on the Country View Crafts on line store. Remember that UK postage and packing is absolutely FREE! All the details for the November challenge can be found here.

I will be back with some more stamped inspiration for CVC on 13th November, this time with a very festive Christmas card.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I am back in an hour and a half with my 2nd post of the day....the 1st of the month is busy busy!!

Bye for now,

Jane x
