Love is all around with Country View Crafts Challenges

 Good morning everyone I am here today to share my first design team make for our February "It's all about love" challenge over in the Country View Crafts Challenges Facebook group. You don't need a blog or an Instagram account, just head over to the group and join in with the fun! The link is here and if you are not already a member just request to join and we will love to welcome you. It is also a place where you can see Country View Craft products, the latest releases etc etc. We have a happy membership of over 300 crafters and we are growing every day. You can enter up to 5 times, as you like as long as you use products or brands which are stocked on the Country View Website.

I try to link up the products I use in my posts but obviously stock on the CVC website is fluid and some products may now be out of stock. If they are just email or phone the shop. Susan will be happy to help you.

For my first love make I chose to make this card;

This is how I made it;

I sprayed some white card with Candied apple distress stain spray and cut it down to 4 1/2" by 6 1/2" This stain spray is not in stock at the moment but this colour would work well too (or any other colour you fancy!).

I then used the Visible Image always and forever stencil.

It comes with the mask as well, which I positioned  fairly centrally.

Using Black soot distress ink and an ink blending tool and added ink around the mask part. I also added a little Lumberjack plaid distress ink to a few areas.

I used 2 of the sentiments from the Visible Image "Have I told you lately" sentiment set
which I stamped in versafine clair nocturne. It's not in stock at the moment but can be ordered. I also stamped some of the hearts from the set using tulip red Versafine Claire ink

I then matted my make onto black card and then a white card blank.

Here it is again;

and 1 final shot;
I really hope that I may have inspired you to join in with the "It's all about love" fun. Do head over to the challenge on Facebook here.  There is also an amazing prize for one randomly selected winner.

Remember you can find me most days over on Instagram here @jane.tyrrell where I do share many, many more makes then I have the time to blog.

I will be back on Friday 23rd with my 2nd design team make.

Before I go I have a very exciting announcement that I am hosting my next inky cardmaking workshop at Country View Crafts HQ in Potton, Bedfordshire. It will be on Thursday 14th March from 11am - 3pm.

We will be using the BRAND NEW Visible Image Lilies with love and Birthday in Blooms stamp sets and coordinating dies (launched last week) with 2 of their gorgeous new stencils.

 We will be getting inky making backgrounds using a rainbow of distress inks and sprays including stencilling and my favourite inky drippy backgrounds. You can also colour your flowers using the new (or existing) colours of distress pencils.
You will be able to complete at least 2 finished cards during the workshop but will have enough product to finish 4, either at the workshop or at home.
Every attendee will receive their own "Lilies in love" stamp set worth £12.99 FREE to take home and have the opportunity to buy other supplies at the workshop.
Lunch and refreshments are provided by the lovely Susan and I will give you workshops notes to take away too.

Here's a little sneak peek of what we'll be making.....

 Places are filling very fast so if you would like to come just click on the link here.

Bye for now,
