5 day count down until Create and Craft TV

Good morning all, the first Monday in September has arrived and I am here to share the second sample I have made for Visible Image for the Create and Craft TV shows this Friday 8 September at 7pm and Saturday 9 September at 9am. Both shows are on Freeview channel 23, Virgin 748 and Sky 674 or you can also watch on line live here

If you missed my first sample card I made, here he is again  the details are in this post from last Monday
This is Mr Union Jack Man where I used the fab new Grungy Union Jack stencil

Visible Image's brand new stencil range have been designed by Mark Alexander and made for them by Tando Creative. They are the best quality and a useful 6X6" size. At the moment there are 10 cool designs.

For today's sample I used the stars and stripes stencil, as the shows are also being transmitted to our friends in the USA

It will be available on the show or you can pre-order from Visible Image here.

We are also restarting the monthly challenge over on our Visible Image Group Facebook page where you have the chance to win a £40 coupon to spend on the website. Our theme for September is "Distressed". You can interpret this in any way you wish using your Visible Image stamps. I chose to go with using "Distress" inks and Oxides.

You can also enter our "anything goes/show and tell" challenge every month using Visible Image stamps, which runs year round. This has a £25 voucher for the winner.
Both challenges' winners are drawn at random so whether you are a seasoned Visible Image stamper or just inking up your first purchase you are in with a chance.

For this sample I inked up one of the brand new "We are family" stamps.......I chose Son, such an apt description....
This is my own 28 year old darling son personified. I had him in mind when I designed my card. He likes very CAS (Clean and simple) cards and also listening to music and going to concerts. He also strums on a guitar in his home on occasions. So I knew which stamps would be perfect for my card. The Rock out! stamp set ..these work brilliantly with male cards. My son gave this design his seal of approval 😉

This is what I got up to .....

I stamped the son sentiment onto a Kraft card blank and positioned the stars and stripes stencil just above.
I used Salty ocean and Candied apple distress oxide inks to ink through.

I also made up some funky rock star elements. I made some stars from white card which I could then use as templates.

I cut out a red, white and blue star using my templates from snippets of card. I decorated them with the fist and large star from the Rock out set and I also used the little stars from the
I also stamped and embossed a guitar which I coloured with original distress inks.

I then put on my creative hat to come up with this card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Simon says stamp Wednesday 2/5  anything goes

Jane........................you are here ;0)

If you need to go back to the main Country View Challenge blog and start at the beginning this is the link there.

As you well know I love using stencils in my crafting, the difficult part for me was deciding which to use!  There are lots of inspiring projects over on the challenge page too. You can enter any craft which fits the theme.

For my first piece of the month I decided to make a card, a special card for my SIL's sister who is getting married this month. I wanted to use some bold May colours.

To make my focal I stamped and white embossed my Lili of the Valley sentiment and die cut it out.  I then dripped it through some TH distress inks
and dried it off with my heat gun
For the backing card I repeated the process....
I then added some hearts through my stencil using archival ink
and then some diamond sparkle medium through my Gothic stencil.

Then it was time to assemble my card and add a ribbon to finish it off.

and one last shot
My second DT piece for the May challenge is on  Friday 27th...I have made a complementary tag for the "set".

I would like to link up my card with the following challenges.

Creative Card Crew wet or dry embosssing I have white embossing powder for my sentiment.
Simon Says stamp Wednesday anything goes

Don't forget to leave a comment here if you are on the blog hop....and you need to hop along to all the other blogs too if you would like try to win the Big Shot.  Good luck!
