My stamping adventures in Worthing

I am back with a post to share the great day I had demonstrating Visible Image stamps and stencils in Worthing for Stampers Grove at the Stamperama show last Saturday
I didn't take my camera as I had lots to pack. A lady on the stand opposite kindly took this photo with my phone just before the show opened.
And I took this for James aka Mr Stampers Grove, ready to greet all the lovely customers.
The day whizzed by so quickly that I didn't manage to take any other photos but James managed this one of me, again at kick off. (thanks James for allowing me to share your photos)
And he snapped these 2 right at the end of the day, with the last ladies, just before we started to clear up.

It really was the most delightful show, everyone was super friendly and happy to see a stamping show return to Worthing.
I took lots of my Visible Image makes to show customers but I also made some "specials" for the day. I have shared some of these photos on social media but I like to keep a creative diary for myself here at Jane's Journal so this is my "Worthing 2019 Collection"
I made a limited edition of 3 "The eyes see you" artist trading coins
Number 1 was the badge I wore.
I made a selection of Artist trading cards using the See Everything stamp set
I also made 2 cards
This is one of them using several Visible Image sets; Creative chaos, Wings of hope, Art words and the lovely dragonflies from Live in the moment.
The other card I will share soon.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Through the craft room door 1/2 anything goes
Crafty sentiments 1/3 summer
Simon says stamp Monday frame it
Crafting from the heart 1/3 anything goes

There is a possibility that the show may be repeated in Worthing next year. It was a really happy friendly day and the lovely crafters who attended appeared delighted to have a stamp show in the area again. The hall was light and airy and there was such a positive vibe all day. I certainly had a ball and would love to see it run again next year. If you were one of the lovely customers who stopped by, thank you so much for your kind comments and support. It was a pleasure to share my ideas and passion for what I do.

James has all the stamp sets I have used here and the whole Visible Image stamp and stencil range in stock on his website here He also stocks other brands of stamps and has a great range of inks and products.
He takes his very well stocked Stampers Grove mobile shop to Stamping and craft shows all around Great Britain . He often has special show offers and extra products so it it really worth catching one. There is likey to be one very near you as he really does travel the lenght and bredth of the country. The show list for 2019 is here  and to give you a little heads up I will be at one of them demonstrating again very soon, but more of that nearer the time 😊

Thanks so much for stopping by. If you are on Instagram I have added my direct link on side bar of my blog if you would like to keep up to date as I don't blog everything I make/do. I am on there as @jane.tyrrell

Swimming towards June

Good morning and for those of you who are in the UK enjoy your day off courtesy of the late May bank holiday. The temperature is rising nicely as we start the last week of the month although it has clouded over a bit today. I can't wait until we can have picnics and ice cream on the beach when we visit our daughter's and paddle in the sea. Summer is just around the corner now. I wonder if we will have anything like the long hot summer of 2018?
We had so many fun days at the seaside last year, even though I did take a dunk from their kayak!
Daisy and Jack loved it too. What is more fun for a child than sand, a bucket and a spade?
Such fond memories. Fingers crossed we can repeat this again in 2019

It is time for my Monday DT make for Visible Image today and with these thoughts of the sea I used the brilliant
Dare to swim  stamp set
and the timeless fibres stencil

I used a piece of card made a while back using turquoise and lemon Brushos. I then added salty ocean, twisted citron

and tumbled glass distress ink through the stencil.
I stamped the fish using a rainbow ink pad.

I stamped the seaweed using Color Box Guava
and I used a sentiment from

It was embossed in yellow onto purple card. I then backed this onto green.
I stamped out some jelly fish onto acetate (I will use the spares on other projects) and added Glossy accents and glitter.
I also found an ideal piece of netting courtesy of my easy peelers!
Then it was time to put my card together.
Here it is;
with some close ups

I also stamped inside..
and one last shot.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

We love to create 1/3 anything mixed media
Pixie's snippets playground #353
Pink gem challenge 1/3 anything goes
Crafty catz 1/3 anything goes

I had a great time at the Stamperia show on Saturday demonstrating for Stamper's Grove. I'll be back to share a post later this week but this photo was taken at set up by a lady whose stand was opposite...before the doors opened and we were greeted by so many lovely crafters. It was a really busy but enjoyable day.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for the kind comments you take the time to leave me, despite the very busy lives you all lead.

All that jazz

Good morning here we are at the start of a new week. What a week we enjoyed last week...wall to wall sunshine! My azalea looked so cheerful in the beams of sunlight in the garden

and it felt like summer is just around the corner.
The sun has popped back behind the clouds for now but I am sure it will be back very soon. It's also time for my Monday design team make for Visible Image. I needed some male birthday cards down at Dotty's Teahouse so I knew just the right stamps to get out.
Jazz it up
and a sentiment from
I added some distress inks to my craft sheet; chipped sapphire, tumbled glass and hickory smoke, a spritz of water and dipped in some watercolour card.
Once it was dry I cut it down and stamped the jazz players using Twilight Versafine Clair ink.  I stamped the large stars from
Rock out  and the bubbles
in gold and
the sentiment on top in black Versafine which I clear embossed.

Finally I stamped the keyboard in black Versafine for the jazz players to stand on.
I matted and layered it onto gold and black cardstock.

Here is my finished card.

I also worked with the True north set
and a birthday sentiment from Party time
Here is my finished card
my second is a layered technique using
Using distress inks I inked through part of the stencil and then moved the stencil and used anther colour. I repeated this until I achieved the background I wanted.

I just added several layers and then stamped the bold sentiment
enough from the say it big series and heart and patches from romantic expressions 1
 to finish my card.

My 3rd technique used some crackle paste through the

I added a sentiment from Trendy butterflies 1 to make this card.

and my 4th and final technique is a really fun one using Ranger alcohol lift off ink through the

I used the sentiment and image from blossom like a butterfly to make my final stenciled card.
