New daffodils from Visible Image

Hi friends, have you seen there is a brand new Visible Image stamp release? It is available for pre order now and is being released on 26th June. I got my hands on the stamps on Friday to make some samples and I have been blown away by how gorgeous they are. There are 6 new A6 sets and every one is fab. I am popping in today as I just had to share my first sample as it features my favoruite flower, the daffodil.
It is one of 3 lovely flowers in the new

I used it with a fab existing background stamps called
Fibonacci
I decided to make myself a canvas to hang in my studio and wanted a very organic/vintage feel.

This is what I got up to.
I took some corrugated card and ripped it back and also found an old Dusty Attic chipboard frame in my stash which I won many moons ago.
I used distress paints on the chipboard
and finished off with gold Stickles which you will see at the end.
 I also die cut some hessian to add a focal frame underneath
 I coloured the cardboard with distress paints and added highlights with Tarnished Brass distress paint.

Out came my trusty  "A tale of two cities" book for some book page flowers and I used an inky off cut for the leaves and the centres of the daffodils.
I also added Glossy Accents to the trumpet of the flower head.

Here is my finished canvas, the words which come in this set work so well with the images too.  Daffodils are indeed such beautiful yet delicate flowers.
 Some close ups

and one last shot.
I would like to enter my canvas into the following challenges;

Galloping horses for Visible Image

Good morning, it is time for my fortnightly design team project for Visible Image stamps. Today I am sharing my first project with the 3rd of the 3 new release larger A5 sets.
It is called Revolution

My fellow design team members have recently shared several lovely projects using the large musketeer face stamp so I thought I would try something with the other fab stamps in this set.
I also wanted to use the new Renaissance stencil which has so many gorgeous patterns within it.

I had a play with a couple of designs and colours
but settled on the one below. This is how I made it. First I blended candied apple distress ink through the centre of the stencil and then added faded jeans. You don't need to be perfect with any lines as the inks blend so well together.

I stamped and embossed the galloping horse
I then stamped the flourish stamps in a pattern
I stamped out the words onto snippets of card and distressed their edges. I also stamped the large and small fleur-de-lis onto gold card and also cut them out.
Then it was time to put everything together.
Here is my finished card.

2020 Vision

Good morning it's time for my fortnightly design team post for Visible Image...and yes it features the awesome new 2020 Vision stamp set again. Do you think I like it just a bit?
For this make I decided to create a piece with the eye masked to keep the white white! I shared this rainbow version on social media last week and at the recent Create It show.
This is what I got up to. I stamped the main image using black Versafine and clear embossed it.
On a scrap of card I roughly stamped just the eye and cut out a mask
I placed the mask over the eye and added some Infusions and a spritz of water.
 Once dry, with the mask still in place, I added some antique linen and broken china distress oxide.
 I stamped out 1 of the awesome sentiments from the set and decided to cut them into cloud shapes as I felt my piece had a real "sky" feel to it. I edged them with more blue ink.
 I then removed the mask and added blue glitter pen to the eye and some white accents to some of the bubbles. I then added Glossy Accents which you can see in the finished photos.
Here is my finished card
 a close up
 and one last shot.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Through the craft room room door 3/3 anything goes

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Remember that the new release is out now. You can buy it here on the website or from your local stockist.

Visible Image Total chaos

The new Visible Image release launched on Saturday and is selling like hot cakes. One of the new sets is particularly popular as it is a bigger version of Creative Chaos, one of their best selling sets and a real favourite of so many stampers, including me.
Please can I introduce you to Total chaos
This is a large A5 size set which means that there are now 3 sizes of the awesome inky flower. A tiny version is in the new Accessorize set a small and very reasonable priced A7 size set. I will share some projects made with this very soon.
and this of course is the original
Creative Chaos which is an A6 size set.
The very first card I ever made with Creative Chaos is this card in January 2019
I used book pages from my beloved A Tale of 2 cities for the bloom and it is my most pinned card on Pinterest. Here it is
So when I saw the new Total Choas I knew I just had to use book pages again, as I did for my first make with Creative Chaos and this time I decided to make a canvas.

This is what I got up to;
(Apologies that there are not a lot of process photos here as I have been so busy making samples. I just did not get time to stop and keep taking snaps especially with very inky hands).
I decided I wanted to make  a background to make me think ahead to spring days and used lots of ink sprays and water on heavyweight watercolour paper. They are a mix of distress sprays; pine needles, mustard seed, wild honey, grass and turquoise Dylusions greens plus some tarnished brass metallic spray.
I cut myself a 5 x 7" piece from it and stamped the flower to get an outline and placement for my canvas.
I then stamped the scribble stamp over the top in orange archival ink.
Out came my well used Tale of 2 cities and I stamped the flower and 2 of the small flowers onto a page and cut them out. I also added some stamping around the edge of the canvas using archival ink and the other background stamps.
I stamped the sentiment onto a snippet of card, cut it out and mounted it on black card. I added Glossy Accents to the large circle and to some of the circles in the background, I wanted it to appear as dewdrops.

Here is my finished canvas; You can see it in the flesh on the Visible Image Facebook LIVE tonight.
 with some close ups

 and one last shot.
I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

Pixie's snippets playground #371 I used a snippet of white card for my sentiment and and slightly bigger snippet of black to mount it on!

Visible Image new February release

The days are definitely getting lighter which is wonderful. There is also lots of spring colour around. I saw all these lovely  primula recently in a garden centre. There is nothing quite like some bold colours to cheer up a dull February day.
 Today I am delighted to be sharing my first card made with one of the stamp sets from the brand new Visible Image release. This release is available to pre order now on the Visible Image web site here. Release date is Feb 15. From that date you will also be able to buy the whole release from your nearest stamp shop or on line supplier.

I decided to work with the  awesome Free your imagination. As soon as I saw this set I knew what I wanted to design and I could not wait to get it out of my head!
I made myself an inky drippy background using distress oxide inks in rainbow colours adding lots of water.
When it was dry I stamped my bird in place using Versafine black ink.
Next I stamped and cut out a couple of the books and layered one up.
I added book pages to the inside of one layer
and used an inky off cut to stamp the top pages. I added a foam pad for dimension. I also stamped out 3 ink pots and coloured them to match the ink drips.
I let one of the ink pots spill out from under the bird.
So here is my finished card.

I really did let my imagination go wild with this one. I hope you might be temped to do the same! I have lots more ideas for this set too.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Lil patch of crafting friends 1/3 anything goes
Sweet stampin 1/3 books
We love to create 1/3 anything goes
Penny Black and More 1/3 animals, birds and butterflies
Crafter's castle 1/3 anything goes
