Hi everyone, I am here today with my first design team make to hopefully inspire you to join our February challenge. The link is Here and if you are not already a member just request to join and we will warmly welcome you. You can enter the challenges up to 5 times as you like as long as you use products from brands which are stocked on the Country View Website.

This is the card I made, a Valentine's day card.  I bought this sweet Andy Skinner stamp in the CVC advent sale. You can buy it here , it is such a cute image.

This is how my card came together.
I used the awesome Visible Image distressed brick stencil with these 2 distress inks. to make the background.

I stamped the robots onto a scrap of white card

I coloured with distress pencils and cut them out.

I stamped them again on the background, together with the sentiment.

I decoupaged it with the cut out image and also added a little distress pencil colouring to the background.  I also added some heart die cuts as finishing touches,

Here is a close up

 And one final photo

Remember you can find me most days over on Instagram Here @jane.tyrrell where I share many, many more makes then I have the time to blog.

I hope I may have inspired you to give our "romance and friendship" challenge a go. This fab prize up for grabs too for one randomly selected and you can enter up to 5 times!

I will be back with my 2nd make on Sunday 9th February.

Wisley Gardens in winter

I haven't had a chance to share the photos from my recent visit to Wisley Gardens so I thought today would be the perfect time.
I love catching up with my dear blogging friend Brenda as we share a real love of gardening and so enjoy our seasonal visits to Wisley Gardens in Surrey. Our latest visit was in January and I must admit I thought there would not little colour around. How delighted I was to be so wrong. There were lovely colours everywhere.
Outside we saw the Witch hazel in bloom
and this amazing tree, not sure of its name though.

Early daffs were in bloom
and even iris were poking up out of the undergrowth.
In the green houses the colours were so vibrant and the flower shapes so unusual.

So all these lovely colours inspired my latest Valentine's card which is heading down to Dotty's Tea House today.
I used some vibrant distress inks and the stamps are by Visible Image. I die cut some hearts and finished off with some sequins.
A couple of close ups.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
