Treats not tricks, Halloween 2020

Halloween is just  2 days away and it will be a very different one this year. There will be no rings on the door bell and excited children in costume hoping for some treats for their Halloween buckets. Until my granddaughter was 4 I had no interest in Halloween at all but since she has been Trick or Treating I have totally embraced it!

I will still decorate my porch this year and I have made my treat bags for my big and small babies but sadly that will be it. I so hope that this time next year things will be more normal.

I have been sharing my 2020 Halloween tags over on Instagram over the last month. You can see my posts here or there is a link in my side bar.

I thought today I would show them all together and also give you a little peep inside at the goodies.

My big babies have these in their treat bags

My grandbabies have books, as neither are huge sweet eaters yet, wrapped in hand stamped gift wrap. This is for 3 year old Jack who adores dinosaurs.

and for Daisy, 7, who loves this series.

These are my 2020 tags I made, as a group
Here are the goodies all together
It's been such fun making these ghoulish tags.

I would like to enter this tag into the following challenges;

Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes

Simon says stamp Monday movie inspiration mine is The Witches

Allsorts celebration time mine of course is Halloween

So it's a wrap (literally) for 2020. The treats have all been delivered and will be opened up on Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy Halloween however you might be celebrating it (if you do) this year.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

Some eye contact Visible Image style

 Good morning yes another fortnight has rolled around. The nights are really drawing in but there is still some gorgeous autumnal colours around. I loved this autumnal wreath I spotted recently

and even in my garden the colours are gorgeous.

 I am here with my latest Visible Image design team make. Mark aka Mr Visible Image will be appearing on your TV screens again TOMORROW (Tuesday 27 October) at midday on Create and Craft. It is a longer 1 1/2 hour show and he will be sharing some awesome demos plus samples from myself and my teamies.

3 of the products on the show are the amazing Eye contact stencil

the awesome glimmer of light stamps
and the brilliant Just be happy set.
 I decided to make a canvas with them for my show sample.

This is what I got up to;

Using Versafine Onyx ink and an stencil brush I stenciled the eye onto white smooth card and then clear embossed it. I then stamped all the other elements of the design as well. I didn't worry about masking the corner of the eye where the small light bulb went as I would be adding a cut out bulb when finished.

Using Zig watercolour pens I coloured all the moths.
I added a little shimmer with a glitter pen to the wings.
I stamped out several of the light bulbs and clear embossed. I coloured the element and then added glossy accents. Here they are wet, they go transparent when dry and I then cut them out.
I coloured the pupil of the eye in rainbow glitter pens and again added Glossy accents. I then left everything to dry.
I then put my design together. Here it is.
with a close up

and one final shot.

I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

Me and the STAMP girls will be sharing our makes every day up to and including tomorrow.

Today I used the following products:

Flexi triangle templates

Autumn falling stencil

wanderlust expressions 2

wonky stitched grid texture plate

and mocha swirl shakerBlends flat sequins

This is what I got up to;
I had the idea to make an autumnal outdoors card.
I used the Autumn falling stencil and distress inks to make a layered inky background.
I then used the 2 largest Flexi triangle templates to cut out the 2 pieces for the sidesof my card.

I made a simple green distress ink background and cut it to 5 1/2 by 5/1/2" and stuck these pieces in place.

I textured some green card using the awesome wonky stitched grid texture plate

and using the 2 smallest flexi triangles cut out 1 larger and 4 of the smallest triangle to make some "tents" (although they could also have been trees if you add a trunk at the bottom. )

I stamped a sentiment from the wanderlust expressions 2  set and then put my design together adding some  mocha swirl shakerBlends flat sequins as a finishing touch.

Here is my finished card.

with a couple of close ups

and one final shot.
I would like to link my card up to the following challenges;
