Happy everything (the gorgeous little images in this set are perfect for adding smaller details to cards).

This is what I got up to; I stamped the fond expressions 2 sentiment onto my white card front. I die cut out hexagons using my Tim Holtz stacked hexagon sets. I then die cut a size smaller set of tiles in white card and put them to one side. I blended distress inks through the Fairy tale forest stencil to the card front.
I stamped the cupcakes from Happy everything and sentiment from Party time  onto the cut out tiles adding colour and ink to the edges.
I matted my card front onto black card.
I replaced the tiles, gluing them in place and added some gel glitter pen colour for extra sparkle to the cupcakes.
Finally I adhered my card front onto a white card blank. Here it is finished;

More hearts and flowers for Country View challenges

 Hello I am here with my 2nd design team inspiration make for our February challenge over at County View Challenges. I am delighted to be your host this month and I have chosen "Hearts and flowers" for the theme. This means that you need to have both hearts and flowers on your make. You can make anything you like using any products. You can enter a maximum of  5 times and into a maximum of 10 challenges including ours. As always there is a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for one lucky randomly selected winner to spend on the website.  You can find all the details of the challenge and more examples made by my talented teamies here

I have added clickable links within this post to the CVC website. If anything is out of stock just add your name in the email notification and Susan will email you when she has them back in stock.

For my 2nd design team make I am using products from the brand new Visible Image spring release. As I am on their design team too I am able to get my hands on these fab products before their release! For my first CVC make using them I have used all 3 of the really awesome new layering dies. These will all be available on the Country View Website for their release on 11th February. Just add your name to the email alert box and you be contacted by Susan once they can be pre ordered. These dies are incredibly popular so don't miss out being the first to get your hands on them. Remember that all orders over £20.00 are posted FREE within the UK.

Broken mesh

and the really beautiful new stamp set
These tulips stamps are glorious and have a "creative chaos" flower feel to them, so uniquely Visible Image. This set is even worth buying just for the script stamp...it's fab!

Plus the thank you sentiment from the uber useful existing VI set

Lost for words

This is what I got up to;

I die cut a piece of black card using the Broken mesh die

I really like using the apertures left behind for my cards.
So the black mesh will be used for another project, nothing is ever wasted with these dies.

Using the  Framed fibres I cut a frame in green

and stuck this under the aperture.
I randomly stamped the script onto white card using Barn door

and placed this under the frame.
I stamped, coloured and cut out one large and 2 small tulips.
I used the thank you sentiment from the Visible Image "lost for words set".
and glued the tulips in place.

I die cut some inky mop up card using the
Torn Fishnet die and die cut some hearts which I used to layer up on top of white die cut hearts. These gorgeous dies are not called layering dies for nothing!
I added a little mowed lawn distress ink.

and then put my card together adding sequins for a final touch.
Here it is
with a close up
and one final shot.
I think you might guess by now that these dies and stamps are very loved by me and will get so much use.

 I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our February "Hearts and flowers "challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.
 Once again all the details for the challenge are here.  Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £20.00

February hearts and flowers

Happy February friends, the month of love.... and spring flowers. It's time for our new challenge over at Country View Challenges.

This is what I got up to;

I have added clickable links within this post to the CVC website. If anything is out of stock just add your name in the email notification and Susan will email you when she has them back in stock.

I used my favourite ever flower stamp by Visible Image Creative chaos for my "flowers".

which I stamped 3 times, coloured with distress inks and cut out.
I made a "smooshed" distress ink background using mustard seed, salvaged patina, kitsch flamingo and speckled egg. I thought this gave a very "spring" feel to my card.
My "heart" is a very old die from my stash. I used it to die cut some pink inky leftover card
and then added a little blueprint sketch distress ink.
I stamped happy birthday (from Visible Image's birthday sentiment set) at the top of the card.
I also added a little background stamping using the other stamps in the Creative chaos set.
I glued on some sequins as a finishing touch and then matted and mounted it onto a card blank.

 Here is my finished card
with a close up;
and one final shot;

 I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our February "Hearts and flowers "challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.

 Once again all the details for the challenge are here.  Remember that when you buy from the Country View Crafts website UK postage is FREE on orders over £ 7.50

First signs of spring with Country View challenges

 Welcome to February. This is my first of 2 posts today as of course there are new challenges to be shared. First up is my design team post for Country View where our challenge theme for this month is "first signs of spring".

There are certainly signs of spring at the park with the arrival of a pair of swans

and my dinos look very loved up.
Even my hanging basket in my garden is looking very spring like.
What a lovely theme. As always there is a fab £20 voucher up for grabs for one lucky randomly selected winner to spend on the website.  You can find all the details of the challenge and more examples made by my talented teamies here.

I love to look out for the first spring blooms and the birds making their nests so I though I would make a tag.

 This is what I got up to;

I used my much loved Tim Holtz flower garden stamp set  and stamped using mustard seed distress paint. I also stamped the faded text using speckled egg distress paint.

I stamped using archival ink some little birds from Tiny things and the larger bird from the urban tapestry set. I really liked the way the yellow paint shows through as a resist.

I then die cut some tiny flowers from the small tattered florals set and my old trusty bird branch.
I then put my tag together.
Here it is finished.
with a couple of close ups

and one last shot
We would love to see you join in with our February challenge.

I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges;

Gem of a challenge 1/3 anything goes
Simon says stamp Wednesday anything goes

I hope I may have inspired you to join in with our February "first signs of spring" challenge. You can use any stamps/products, the choice is yours.

You can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with other challenges. There is also a £20 crafting voucher up for grabs to the lucky randomly selected winner to spend over on the Country View Crafts on line store. Remember that UK postage and packing from CVC is free on all orders over £7.50! Once again all the details for the February challenge can be found here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Take care and stay safe. I will be sharing my 2nd design team project on the 19th of February.

Back again in a couple of hours!

Bye for now
