Creative stamping Magazine issue 92

Hi blogging friends I thought I would just pop in and share my latest magazine design team commission for Creative Stamping magazine. Issue 92 of Creative Stamping goes on sale in the shops today. The 2 sets of stamps which come with this issue are just perfect for sporty peeps and for cards/projects for younger adults, which are often quite hard to design for. Also the sentiments in the A4 set are really inspiring.

Obviously I can't share all my makes here...you would need to buy the magazine of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ but this is my racing card card which you can spot in the bottom left corner of the cover.

 Below is my sneak peek card which if you click on the link here you can also get step by step instructions for.
This is my own photo of the card
As always  I made an extra card or 2 using the stamps and this is a sneak peek of my son's birthday card for next month. The background was made with distress inks. He is an avid tennis player and fitness fan and the stamps were perfect to use.
Here are some close ups of the very cool stamps, I even coloured the trainers to match the ones he has!

and one last shot....…literally....with the tennis ball ๐Ÿ˜Š
Issue 92 can be bought from Supermarkets etc (if you still go into them!) or on line from several suppliers including  Craft Stash (and no I don't get commission from them!)

I would like to enter my tennis card into the following challenges;

Stamping sensations 2/3 favourite stamps
Simon says stamp Wednesday make your own background
Through the craft room door anything goes
Passion for Markers anything goes my markers are Zig watercolour brush pens
Crafty sentiments anything goes

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are all staying safe, well and busy.

Back soon,

with the coordinating Christmas reindeer dies
Here is what I got up to;
I used pine needles and candied apple through the  Holly background stencil

I stamped the Christmas reindeer  onto red card (I only used the largest in the end) and cut them out using the  coordinating Christmas reindeer dies
I stamped and white embossed the Peace love and joy typografia stamp onto red card and die cut it using one of the shaped dies in my stash.
Then I put my design together.
Here is my finished card
with a close up
and one final shot

Visible Image Christmas stamps and stencils release 2020

Good morning it's time for my fortnightly design team post for Visible Image. Today I am delighted to be blogging my first sample using their new Christmas stamps and stencils which are on pre order now on their website for worldwide release this Friday, 18 September. You can check out all the fabulous newbies here This is a perfect range to complement their existing Christmas stamps and they are so affordable at just £5.99 each

For my first make I decided to make a mixed media card. I used;
   the sentiment from the
and the tiny stars from

This is what I got up to;
I made an inky background by pressing these distress inks onto my craft mat, adding some spritzes of water and then dipping in my card, drying between layers.
I applied crackle texture paste through the stencil and left to dry. You will see the crackle in the final photos, the photo below is when it is wet. When the crackle was dry I painted it with gold metallic paint which again you can see in the final photos.
I stamped the star onto gold card in black Versafine and clear embossed. I then cut out the centre of the star stamp.
I stamped and embossed the star a second time onto the inky background below the stenciled sentiment  and then stuck on the cut out gold star using foam tape to raise it slightly.  Using gold ink I repeat stamped the tiny starts from the O Christmas tree set.
I then matted it up using blue and black card onto a 7"  square white card blank. Here is my finished card;
with some close ups

and one final shot.
These gorgeous new Christmas stamps and stencils lend themselves to any card making style from mixed media to clean and simple.

Doing more of what makes me happy for Country View Challenges

Hello and welcome to July. It's a new month and a new challenge over at Country View.
For July the theme is "Do more of what you makes you happy". This is a pretty open theme and this could be a technique you enjoy, stamp brands you love, colours etc. Just let us know what you love to do when creating. The details and my teamies projects for more inspiration can be found here.

What makes me happy...well gardening is second to my crafting and I have loved having more time to garden. I even started some plants from seed this year including some Cosmos. You would not believe the joy and love I felt on Friday when I saw my first flower in bloom.
This is how they started at the beginning of lockdown
How amazing is Mother Nature!
So back to doing more of what makes me happy craft wise. Well one thing I love doing is making backgrounds using alcohol inks. Susan has lots for sale on the website here

This is what I got up to using Yupo.
I just played and fiddled
adding, dripping and dabbing
until I got the background I wanted
I then grunged it up using the ink splats stamps by Visible Image, Susan doesn't have this set in stock but I'm sure she can order it for you if you email her.
I used one of the gorgeous sentiments from the Love you longer set available here
which I stamped and embossed onto vellum and added between some die cut hearts
I also stamped the hearts in this set onto some other stitched die cut hearts and put my card together.
Some close ups

and one final shot.
This is my anniversary card for my Hb as we celebrate 39 years on 25th of July.  Shhhh...keep it under your hat!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Sweet stampin 2/3 create your own background
Creative fingers 2/3 anything goes

You can enter our challenge as many times as you like and combine with other challenges. There is also a £20 crafting voucher up for grabs to the lucky randomly selected winner to spend over on the Country View Crafts on line store.
