Billy's post

Hello all it's Billy here with a post today as Jane is having a busy weekend having fun with Daisy and Co. Yes it is that time of the year when Jane's house turns stark raving bonkers and in walk the trees. I think they call it Christmas but in my book it should be called Crackers...or was that something else I overheard?

Well the only good thing about all this madness is that I get to chat to my old friend Old Choc who is now inside in the hall. He's covered with chocolates and says he is in his element. This was him on the patio waiting to come in.
We had a quick chat before he got carried inside...I do wish Jane could understand that he can actually walk.
And here he is now in all his glory. This year he has the honour of holding not only the chocs but the old vintage ornaments from Jane's family.
He's as pleased as punch.
Now the new kid on the block this year is this fellow. He had to be caught in a net as he is obviously a bit frisky.
He was set free once he promised to stand still and Jane started winding lights on him.
See how handsome he looks now. Come and take a peep

all these shiny things on him. By the way he says that his name is Terence Tree.
Lots of memories for Jane of Christmas' past.
Right up at the top I see Silky the Fairy has climbed into place. I keep telling her to fly but she never listens.
So I guess I just have to share my indoor space for a bit...hmmmmm
Jane has also added a Christmas project to this post as she enter things called Challenges...well here it is. She apparently made it at a workshop with her friend Brenda. This has pride of place in the fireplace. She says they are MDF trees she decorated with paints, Decosnow and a bit of Frantage. She glittered up the stars and added gems and painted the MDF deer. She painted the frame with Chalk paint and there is lots of crackle on the base.
My paws are not too good for close up photos but here goes
a very frosty scene and a little sleigh too. I wonder if the elves might have fun in that?

She would like me to enter it into these challenges. Honestly my paws are aching with all this typing.

and here is it in the fireplace. Let's hope that the Man in the red suit treads carefully when he comes down the chimney 2 weeks today.

It will be good to catch up with him on his annual visit. I could help him drink the sherry too.

Jane will be back soon but if you can keep a secret..I have found somewhere quite snug to finish off my nap.
Shhhhhh....this looks pretty comfy.

Merry Christmas to all you lovely blogging buddies. If Jane asks you  I'm on my green chair being good 😉

She'll no doubt be back really soon with another post. Thanks for stopping by.

Love Billy x 😻

  12. Billy is one cutie patootie:) I love his commentary. I just watched Christmas Vacation and when he take the string off that binds the tree, his windows, etc... break. I thought of that when I saw your beautiful tree all opened up:) I love your artistic piece...so snowy and glittery.

  13. What a delightful post all the way around! Not only do I love this project, but I adored Billy's wit and charm! This project is so clever because it utilized negative space so perfectly-- I love how you centered it on a frame with nothing inside. That really makes the lovely lines of those trees stand out and this is classy and whimsical at the same time. Thank you so much for the fantastic read, the eye candy with all of those great photos, and for sharing your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

  22. Dear Billy, I always look forward to the day that Jane turns over her computer keyboard to you and see her lovely artwork through your eyes! She was so sweet to put her beautiful artwork down at your level where you can enjoy it's crackled and snowy beauty! I'm pretty surprised you haven't tried removing one of those snowflakes with the gorgeous pop of red in them! Or perhaps played with the reindeer! You are a good kittie!

As for the trees, you have so much to play with! Chocolates and glass baubles on a tree??? What more could a kittie ask for? You exercise far more restraint than I (or Biskit) do! One of my favorite things to do this morning is to play with Sara Emily's keyboard while she is typing to see if I can make the screen go wonky and then watch her face as she tries to get it back to what she calls "normal". Meow! Licks, Roger!

PS This is Sara Emily, who just took back the keyboard and got the computer back to normal. Jane, your work is lovely, and I'm so pleased you shared it with us at Emerald Creek Dares for our Winter Wishes challenge! I always look forward to your Billy post! Hugs! Sara Emily DT

  32. Lovely to meet you Billy! So happy I popped back to take a closer look at Jane's Christmas art because it is stunning. The vintage baubles are beautiful too, we have a few from Liberty's of London and they are something special as we've had them for a long time but no vintage ones from the family. The trees look beautiful too, belated Merry Christmas wishes Billy you are a very handsome chap xx
