My Summer garden

The warm weather has brought on my lovely bedding plants and my garden is taking on its summer hues.
My pots are filling up beautifully with summer flowers

my runner beans are starting to climb their canes
and my neighbour's false acacia is in leaf...such pretty yellow foliage

 Everything is looking lush.

It's amazing how much can be grown in pots or baskets.
This is my favourite time of the year in my garden. Everything is potted up and just takes the sunshine and rain and grows away. I deadhead my flowers every day and they just produce endless new flowers for me, until the first frosts. What joy there is in a garden.

My challenge piece today is a birthday card using the second image I stamped for my April Tim tag project. Remember I used the tulip stamp on the left? Well this is how I have finished the one on the right. The background was made using Tim's Distress spritzer and Distress markers.
Inspired by my summer garden I coloured the image with distress inks
I also inked some seam binding with the same colours. I embossed a background and  here is my finished card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Mixed Media World Vintage
Our creative corner what makes you smile this card makes me smile as it reminds me of my summer garden
Creative Inspirations for a friend
A vintage journey celebrations this is a card for a birthday celebration
Cute card Thursdays summer colours
Take it make it texture I have added texture with my embossing, gems and ribbon.
The artistic stamper summer is on its way

I hope summer has arrived where you are too. The days are so long and light, it really is a time to celebrate nature. I love the garden poem "God's Garden" by Dorothy Frances Gurney and just wanted to share the last verse....................

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,--
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.

I hope you all have somewhere to nurture some plants, even if it's just a window sill....there is nothing to beat watching Mother Nature bloom in summer.

Back soon,

Bye for now,

Jane x
