When I got home I remembered that I still have a really old wood mounted gingerbread man stamp and decided to make some gingerbread men themed cards to add to my cards for Dotty's Tea House Christmas market on 2 December.
It was also time for my next Funkie Junkie inspired card.If you would like to play along with this fun Christmas challenge please check out Linda's post here which gives all the details of the challenge requirements. The challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique and you could even win one of the prize vouchers if you complete all 12 weeks.
I loved Linda's kraft and white colour scheme she used for week 6 which I used for my inspiration. I also incorporated the heart, white die cuts, the gingham ribbon and the white embossing paste she used.
I decided to use white texture paste through my favourite Tim Holtz holiday knits stencil. It never quite matches when you repeat it but I was able to hide that part under the die cuts.
I stamped and white embossed my sweet gingerbread man onto kraft card and fussy cut him out.
I die cut some other Christmas elements and then put on my creative hat.
Below is my finished card. I resisted my usual urge to ink all the edges of my die cuts as I thought that a fresh white look was more appropriate for my card.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;
The Funkie Junkie 12 tags of 2016 #6
Happy Little Stamper anything goes with dies
The Ribbon Girl 1/3 November card challenge
Noor 3/3 Winter
Anything but Cute rustic glam
Penny Black and More 1/3Anything Christmas
Stamping sensations Christmas greetings
Deep Ocean use die cuts and/or punches
Winter Wonderland add ribbon/lace or flowers
ABC Christmas 1/3 w for wishes
I'm still in full Christmas card making mode and my stock is growing by the day. I have also managed to start a little bit of Christmas shopping...only 46 days to go....! Tomorrow I shall be baking Daisy's birthday cake ready to decorate for her birthday party on Saturday..how can she possibly be 3! I will share some photos as it is a Ben and Holly fairy cake...you can guess the theme of her party then ;0)
Back soon,
Bye for now.
