Sweet pea beginnings

For my birthday my lovely friend Karen bought me this super seed set and some very pretty vases. A couple of weeks ago I planted it up.

It was super easy, just add compost, water and add the seeds.... and job done.

I put my trough onto my patio..
and hey presto... these seedlings appeared, just like magic, this week.
I can't wait until they are fully grown and I can fill the vases with these sweet scented, colours of the rainbow beauties.

My card today also has a magical theme...I used a Stampendous stamp I won earlier this year and created a rainbow background with distress inks.
I would like to link it up with the following fun challenges;

  1. Nice sweet pea gift. I'm sure they'll be pretty. I should put out snapdragon seeds as I'm missing those this year. It's been warmer weather earlier part of week. Up to 70s then back into high 50s and rain and wind. But I have not put my long sleeved shirts away yet! We do blooming flowers though which makes us happy in the interesting weather year. Mother's day in US this weekend. We're going to a movie then dinner today. Now I must get breakfast and finish a bday card I need to send out today. Happy weekend to you!

  2. What a lovely sweetpea present! They certainly sprouted quickly for you. Lovely card too. Happy weekend Jane.
