A Family theme over at STAMPlorations

I am delighted to be here today for the 2nd month as a Guest Designer for the lovely Shery of STAMPlorations, USA. If you are in the UK you may not of heard of these gorgeous stamps. They really are worth checking out, she has so many great designs and stencils too!  I will share some links during my post for you to check out the website and see Shery's fantastic designs.
This the link to the main website, do check it out, there are some really fab designs there and Shery posts worldwide at a really reasonable rate.

The theme this month is Stamps and Family.
This is the sketch for June,which you do not have to use but I found it a fun one to work with.

 You can share a family photo, make something for a member of your family...it's up to you. Just let us know in your post if it is not obvious. This is the link to the challenge where you can find all the details.

I used;
Flutter by stencil available here

The stamps I used are the gorgeous Trendy Birds 2 set available here
and the Bold sentiments set available here

 Shery, the owner of STAMPloarations is offering a very generous discount to the readers of my blog. Just quote the code STAMPGIRLJANE at the checkout and get 20% off your order of regular or sale items. This is for stencils as well as stamps.

This is what I got up to;
I decided to make a card for our wedding  anniversary for my darling Hb. We celebrate 36 years of marriage in July. I chose to use a photo of us in Rhodes,  our beloved annual September holiday destination. We sit at our favourite restaurant..
and watch the sun go down.
I chose this photo of us at our table and printed it out in Sepia
Next I used the flutter by stencil and gold embossing paste to create this background
I added 5 impressions of the single goose from the Trendy birds set of stamps to follow the sketch.
I then added some sunny coloured distress inks

Finally I stamped and fussy cut the smile sentiment and mounted my photo onto a piece of embossed card. I also added some vintage photo corners. Here is my finished card.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Creative Moments 2/3 anything goes/birthdays
Creative Inspirations 2/3 my favourite things mine are the amazing gold embossing through the stencil and the photo of my darling  Hb and I on holiday in Rhodes, our home from home.
Happy Little Stampers watercolour 2/3 anything goes
Simon Says stamp Wednesday 2/5 anything goes

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for taking the time to leave your kind comments, I really appreciate them. Summer certainly arrived here yesterday....it was glorious...let's hope that we have a flaming June.
I am off to catch up with my dearest friend Karen today. Have a lovely weekend. I am back bright and breezy on Monday morning with not 1 but 2 posts!
