Tick..........

and most important of all.................
...........plenty of reading matter. Yes it's holiday time...hooray. Time to relax in the sunshine and catch up on some reading. My Hb is an avid reader and devours books on an almost daily basis. I have to read so much for work that the only time I get to read fiction is on holiday.
I decided that if we were catching up on our reading then some bookmarks might come in useful. I had a little crafty time in my studio on Sunday and made these. Ignacio has done his magic to add some digital elements to some of my photos...spot those cute Kewpies he added looking at my bookmarks ;0)
I made them to fit our books perfectly;
How cute is this image
I would like to enter my bookmarks ( or if I am only allowed to use one, then I will enter my Kewpie one) into the following challenges;
Crafty ribbons anything goes with ribbon
Crafty little Fairies - my Kewpie bookmark - cute and cuddly
A and T Emerald Fairies - my Kewpie bookmark - magical creatures
Live and Love Crafts photo inspiration I was inspired by seeing the vintage book spines in the bottom of the photo collage, I think my vintage themed bookmarks would be at home in those books!
Victorine Stamps Vintage
Artistic Inspiration anything but a card
Lexi's Creations anything but a card
Make it Monday Linky party #157
Crafty Sentiments anything goes
I would also like to give a shout out here that the generous Ribbon Girls have a fab Christmas giveaway at the moment, pop over here to join the fun.
One item that is of course at the top of my packing list is my camera. This is where we are going..yes most of you do know where ;0)
Finding the sun again
Watching it set at night whilst enjoying
an ice cold Mythos.......sheer bliss. Take care everyone and I will be back soon with some photos.Can I give a warm, sunny Jane's Journal welcome to my most recent followers and a virtual hug to all my long term ones. Thanks also to everyone for taking the time to leave your comments, I love reading every single one. Also I know that a lot of you read "silently" or don't have an easy means or even the time to leave comments; you are all most welcome here at my blog.
Bye for now,
Jane x
Lucky you, Jane! It would be nice to have a bit of late summer sunshine and warmth - there is a definite Autumn chill to the air and though we have had pleasant weather, being much further North and West than you, we haven't had the wonderful temperatures that you have been having! :(
ReplyDeleteLove your little bookmarks and I think those Kewpie images suit the sepia colouring so well! Enjoy your holiday and I hope you get plenty of relaxing time to finish your books - the most I get to read at the moment is Mental Maths for 9-10 year olds!
Busy trying to get ahead with DT and workshop cards - can't believe we're planning to do the dreaded Christmas cards, but it was a scary thought last night when hubby said it was 15 weeks to Xmas! Where has this year gone?! Look forward to seeing your enviously beautiful holiday pics...have a great time! Hugs, Lisa x
Have fun and relax Jane, I think I know where and recognise the location, September is perfec time of year there.
ReplyDeleteLove he bookmarks, Ignacio does do a great job enhancing our photos, which I could et my Photoshop Elements to do the same tricks.
