Bluebells and Daisy

..what a perfect combination this is and I found Bluebells with Daisy last week at Hatchlands. This is a beautiful National Trust house and garden in Surrey. I met my darling daughter and Daisy there last week. We were very lucky again with a lovely sunny day. I have visited Hatchlands before and their bluebell wood is stunning. This year the bluebells are out at little earlier...we were so thrilled to see them.
 The native English bluebell is in decline and these drifts of them are so important to keep this beautiful plant growing.
Hatchlands is a set in acres of rolling country side and when we got there we started our day with a drink in their cafe which is in the old kitchens of the house.
The old stable block still smells of the horses kept there for years.

The pathways are very buggy friendly and we had a lovely time exploring the vasts grounds in the sunshine

 There is a gate which leads into the bluebell wood and Daisy "helped" her mummy open the gate.

There was a children's find the fairy activity.....sweet fairy dolls had been hidden amongst the trees.
Daisy found one ;0)

What a special day we had amongst the bluebells.

Of course my card today has to be flower and fairy inspired.

It is Lili of the Valley's 10th birthday next month and I decided to make them a birthday card using one of the very first stamps I bought from them. The delightful fairy stamp called Dandelion Clock. I love this stamp and still use it lots.

I coloured her with my Promarkers and highlighted with Prismcolor pencils. The backing paper is ancient from my stash. The round and tag sentiments are LOTV. The butterfly and leaf is by Cheery Lynn. The lovely doily is also Cheery Lynn.  I coloured the butterfly with my distress inks. I finished it off with a sparkly organza ribbon and some gems. I even added a number 10 to wish the girls at LOTV a great celebration.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

I am now on holiday from work until next Wednesday...woop woop. Today I am meeting my Mum at the Museum of London to see the exhibition "The Cheapside hoard, London's Lost Jewels". It sounds very interesting. The weather this week has just been outstanding and I just hope it lasts for a few more day. Enjoy the upcoming bank holiday.

Back soon,

Bye for now,
