A baroque pencil holder

Hello and welcome to my final guest designer piece for Tracy over at Noor!UK. I was supposed to GD for 5 posts in July  but Tracy asked me to make a couple of mixed media pieces for her. One was the puzzle piece which you can see here. Today I am using the Baroque card art stencil to made a pencil pot for my beloved garden studio.
Now I chose to use mount board for this but it is easily made with thin card. I just wanted something very strudy. If you use mount board you do need either very strong shears or a craft knife. I have Tim's shears which are brilliant. Trace around the plate and then cut it out. I then sanded the edges smooth.

Next I added tissue tape and then coloured it with acryllic paints which I sprayed on
Once I was happy with the colours I added some stamping and embossing
These are my Craft Individuals flower stamps which I won..so pretty and also Visible Images Bronte verse sentiment stamp.
Some I inked some I embossed with glitter
Next I got out some of the spare inked puzzle pieces from my puzzle project and added some words and doodles

I also inked up a Tim Holtz dragon fly (my newest crafty purchase) and added some crackle.
I also made some butterflies with my VI stamps and some glitter embossing powder
And finally it was time to put my ideas together.

and here it is in use in my studio
