I have bought some old favourites but also some newbies....I love this new purple petunia.
It gives such a flash of colour.
I have gone for yellow and red in my hanging baskets this year
As you all know I adore taking photos...you have seen my photos on my blog for nearly 6 years now (gulp). However I have a confession to make....for all the cameras I have owned..... I have never ever read the manual. I just look at the quick set up guide and I'm off. I drive my Hb potty as I'm the same with any gadget. I just don't have the patience to sit down and read a manual. At the weekend though I noticed an icon on my camera which I didn't understand and after all this time I finally searched out the CD and loaded the manual onto my computer. OMGoodness what fun effects there are on my camera!
So I had a play.....and I love all these different effects....here are a few
Fun eh!
So my challenge project has to be floral doesn't it. It is a canvas that I have not yet shared with you. I made it at one of my talented friend's, Brenda Brown's inky days. It was such a great day. We used lots of mixed media techniques.
I would like to enter it into the following challenges.
Simon Says Stamp Monday summer garden
A vintage journey texture or embossing paste (used on the canvas).
Everybody Art non cute
Allsorts 2/3 the great outdoors
Crafty Friends based on a book mine is Papillon by Henri Charriere
Noor summer
Stamps and stencils floral frenzy
Rhedd's Creative Spirit anything goes
Happy Little Stampers mixed media
Butterfly challenge A is for aperture +/- apricot
And just to leave you with one more of my photo effects....
....who stole the yellow ;0)
I can see me using this lots.
I can almost hear my garden growing at the moment. It's too early for my fuchsias to bloom yet but just wait until they do...my camera will be very busy.
Back soon,
Bye for now,
Jane x
How can I not love your beautiful butterfly canvas! Your pots are looking great with the petunias. Must get down the garden centre and get mine started. So little time to get anything done. Must admit to being someone who only glances at the instructions. Much tooimpatient to use the tools! I did sit and read the instruction manual for my new all singing and dancing sewing machine. Took me a week to digest it and then a flipping further month to pluck up courage and switch it on.!! Sometimes knowledge comes better in small doses. Lol. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHello Dear Jane,

I read manuals....sometimes:) I love all the pictures especially of the same one but with all the effects. reminds me of stamping something with the same image but using different techniques. I love your art piece on canvas and how the butterfly looks. I like that technique...what did you use to get the glossy look??
ReplyDeleteI love your purple spotty petunia and all your camera effects! I'm the same I hate reading boring manuals.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the last photo with just the one colour and of course your pretty floral card.
We had a huge thunderstorm during the night, it's very warm though.

Hi Jane, I had a good time looking at how different each photo was. Now I'm wondering.. how did you do that? I'm bad at manuals, too. I did finally get my new camera to go further out on the zoom.. I had to reset it to factory settings and start over.. lol. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteA very pretty creation Jane, many thanks for sharing with us at Allsorts challenge.
