A seaside themed Father's day card for Country View Challenges

 Hello everyone I am here today with my first design team make for our June challenge over at Country View challenges hosted over on Facebook. The theme is "Anything seaside". 

You don't need a blog or an Instagram account, just head over to the group to join in with the fun! It is also the place where you can be the first to hear about workshops, the latest releases etc etc. We have a happy membership of over 330 crafters already and we are growing every day. You can enter the challenges up to 5 times as you like as long as you use products or brands which are stocked on the Country View Website. 

I try to link up the products I use in my posts but obviously stock on the CVC website sells out quickly . Some may be out of stock when you click on the links. The prize this month is a fab stash of seaside themed products from Art by Marlene.

This is what I got up to. 

I die cut some shells using my old Tim Holtz bigz dies. I ended up only using the large one.

I added some foundry wax foundry wax to the raised areas.

For the background I used one of Tim's backdrops. 

I used one of my old paper dolls, similar are in the new poses set here.

I also used some Collage strips

I coloured the paper doll with distress pencils

I added some stamping to the background using some old Tim stamps and distress archival inks. 

 

I then put everything together and distressed the edges,

finishing off with a stamped sentiment and an off cut of some film strip die cut.

and shhhh...this is the card I have made  for my darling 91 year old Dad for Father's day this Sunday.

Our challenge is open worldwide.
