An inky Christmas tree

Good morning it's Monday and time for my weekly dose of Visible Image inspiration. I hope you already have the date in the diary for our Christmas show on Create and Craft tomorrow?
If not here are the details
There are lots of  samples made by my teamies and myself  on the show and I will be waving to mine.
I have already shared these 2 cards
There are another 2 I have made and I will share the first of them today. For today's card I wanted a very CAS (clean and simple) look and also to keep to 1 layer as this also makes postage for cards so much cheaper.

I used the awesome Peace, hope and love set
I decided to make some Christmas baubles hanging from a Christmas tree so I needed to make myself some pine branches. After a bit of a brain storm I decided to use the seaweed stamp from the Dare to swim set

I used it upside down with different shade of distress ink.

 By repeat stamping and careful overlapping I began to create my Christmas tree branches.

I also red embossed the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Go to Christmas word stamp set
I then created some "baubles" by gold embossing the grungy circle and also used the little accent stamps inside. I love the little accent stamps in the Peace, hope and love set..so cute!

Here is my finished Christmas card, which has a golden glow from the embossing and matting card.
 I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge 2/3 anything goes #257
Christmas at sweet stampin 2/3 anything goes
Cute card Thursday 1/3 snowflakes

I hope you can join Mark at 7pm on Create and Craft tomorrow evening...I will be watching live from my sofa and waving to my Christmas cards. He has some great demos planned too.

  1. Such a pretty Christmas card, Jane and it's always handy to have those flat cards for posting! I bet it's lovely to see your creations on the box - it's nice that you get to share your inspiration with others! Hope you're enjoying the last of BST - the clocks go back this weekend, so that'll be me starting my hibernation! Hugs, Lisa x
