Fruit of my labours

I was a little late planting my tomatoes this year but I am delighted my first fruit have ripened. I grow them outside on my sunny patio and it is such a joy to see this
and yes they are as sweet as they look.
I grow the variety Gardeners' Delight and eat them straight off the vine like apples...such a tasty snack, no pesticides and no air miles at all.
It has been such a dull day today that I thought I would share some other nice bright garden photos.
My sunflower has 5 large heads
and the begonia in my pots and baskets still look beautiful.

 Fuchsia are so pretty closed
or open

My card today is the latest for Dotty's Teahouse. I thought I would make something with some blue sky and sunshine, as we are so lacking it today!
I never get bored using the flower from Creative Chaos by Visible Image. It is my favourite floral stamp.
The background is alcohol inks on glossy card and I have added Crackle Accents to the flower for some extra dimension.
The tiny butterflies are alcohol inks on acetate.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

Creative Artiste 3/3 anything goes
Cute card Thursday 1/3 add a quote
Through the craft room door 1/2 anything goes
A bit more time to craft 1/3 anything goes

I am really hoping the sunshine return soon but in the meantime I shall admire the beauty of my flowers and enjoy eating the fruits of my labours.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to and if you are in the UK, remember that brolly.

Back on Monday when it will be Christmas Eve here at Jane's Journal...ho ho ho!

Bye for now,

  1. I’ve not grown tomatoes for years but when
I did they were always in pots on the patio. FIL was a master at growing them in the patio bags. Yours do look tasty. I have one fuchsia bush in flower that
I cut back drastically last autumn so was pleasantly surprised that
I hadn’t killed it off. Will have to keep an eye out for the elephant moths as they do like eating the leaves.

  4. What a BEAUTIFUL garden you have Jane and those tomatoes look so inviting. Thanks for sharing.
I so LOVE what you have done with 'my new favourite' stamp. Super background and what a great idea to add crackle to that bright flower. I might just have to 'pinch' that idea. I have just recently made my first for a DT post coming up but there is soooooo much more I want to delve into with that stamp. Sorry for plattering on.
Thanks for sharing this beauty with us over at Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge this month.

  6. I really like your crackle effect. It looks like stained glass in the photo. I have garden envy. The deer have mowed my tomatoes down repeatedly but there's some green tomatoes on the vine. I still have hope I'll get sweet, homegrown tomatoes too!
