Footsteps in the sand, 10 years on

Hello everyone I am back with my fortnightly blogged design team make for Visible Image. For today's make I am sharing a step by step of the card I made for my daughter and son in laws recent wedding anniversary. As it was a special one, their 10th, I decided to make something very detailed and meaningful to them.

They live at the seaside and spend a lot of time here.

I decided to make a circle easel card and I knew exactly which Visible Image products would be perfect.

At the beach

the sentiment from Happy anniversary
Plus 2 stencils

The always versatile
Framed fibres layering die (for extra textured waves).
And finally for the number 10, I stamped the numbers from the White rabbit set

and used their co ordinating dies to cut them out.
This is what I got up to;

I inked 2 circles of card using these seaside coloured distress stain sprays.

I then inked the Always and forever stencil onto the top of the card using distress ink,

It creates such a romantic image.
Once dry I white heat embossed the waves from Ride the waves

On the bottom part of the card I stencilled the small footprints from Sandy feet using texture paste
I cut off the tip of the card to accommodate the fold in the circle easel card blank. I make my own, there are lots of on line tutorials elsewhere for how to do this.
I stamped some of the At the beach shells in brown ink onto inky mop up card and cut them out. I also stamped the sentiment from  Happy anniversary and added foam fixers underneath to raise it to hold the top part of the card in place when stood up.
I added pieces of card die cut using the Framed fibres layering die and stuck them in place to represent the waves lapping at the footprints in the sand.
I glued all the elements in place

and for a cool watery sea effect I decided to use glossy accents and glamour dust glitter to give a shimmer to the waves and around the sandy footprints.
This is how it looked when dry,
Here is my finished card
with a couple of close ups

and one final shot
You could of course adapt either part of my easel design to make a single flat card. However, all these extra details really do make for a different card and are worth the effort for those special people in your life. My card was very loved and appreciated by my daughter and SIL.
