Footsteps in the snow...

Well here in the UK the big freeze continues and this was the view which greeted me this morning when I opened my back door. Brrrrr it is SO cold but Billy did venture outside for the first time in a few days.

We have had heavy over night snow again and my palm tree is drooping under the weight of the snow. It is pretty hardy and survived all the snow and ice we had earlier this year so I hope he keeps holding on out there!

All my pots are covered with at least 6" of snow and my bulbs will be snoozing away until they wake up in the Spring. I am always amazed how nature battles on.
.

I spotted a few birds up in the trees, let's hope the snow does slow soon as it must be difficult to find food, mind you there are lots of berries in the bushes too

Luckily it is my day off from work so I shall be staying put for most of the day, trying to finish some of my cards....here is a sneaky peek....

These are a couple I have finished, I will try to show some more in another post.

Wherever you are today, even in the 30oc of sunshine they have had this week in Crete, Billy and I send you our very warm wishes. Keep safe and enjoy our Winter (although officially it's still autumn!) wonderland!

PS Don't worry Billy is back in the warm, snoozing on his chair.

Bye for now,

Jane x

(Keep following my ** days to Christmas posts, the next one is coming up at the week end!)

We have just had some wonderful news, Milly's Tom has returned from sea as a surprise today (he was due back on Sunday) and he managed to catch a flight to Heathrow (Gatwick has been shut for 2 days) and then got 2 trains. She was crying to me on the phone...so pleased!!

  9. Hi Michele, the snow is very pretty but has caused real travel choas here in the UK, we are just not geared up to having snow like this very often. At least it's the weekend tomorrow so we can actually enjoy it, we hope to buy our Christmas tree if we can get to the nursery.....Take care, have a great weekend,

  10. Hi Helen, I think the snow here is deeper than the snow we had earlier this year ..and that was bad enough.
Thank you for liking my cards, I do enjoy making them very much.
Have a creative and warm weekend!
